friendly bar/ restaurant. nice outdoor garden. Roast on Sunday good. Beef too rare and difficult to cut and chew. Otherwise excellent

Went here for some food for my mums birthday, a small selection of options on the menu but we ordered 3 different meals and each one was cooked very well and tasted great and big portions.

We had a lovely meal here. Couldn’t fault it and friendly staff too.

Always had great meals there but chef left. Poor chap running it is trying to run his own pub so left with difficult job. Vegetables rock hard; those who had roasts had black potatoes and parsnips. Cherry tarts all had rock hard burnt pastry. Staff brilliant. Just hope new chefs can do better as we love going there and will go back next year. Hope head chef gets to grips with things, once employed! Will try it out once in place.

This Pub has always been a good place to go over more than 2 decades. Personally I think it is at its best when you can sit under the shade of the oak tree in the back garden.

Lovely pub!!Wide range of food delicious desserts and plenty of different drinks to choose from! The pub has a massive garden with benches to sit on and also in the garden there is a kid's play area.

A great local pub with a good selection of real ales. A pleasant restaurant menu, with tasty food in an old English style pub with exposed oak beams by the dozen.Great service and friendly staff.

Great food and good selection of ales. Staff were very friendly and polite. Lots of seating so maintaining social distancing is easy. Recommend the fillet steak sandwich if you're there for lunch.

Friendly staff, happy to make menu recommendations and really accommodating. We got a selection of nibbles as a shared starter, all really tasty. The venison scotch egg (with a runny yolk) was a particular highlight! Did note limited range of non-alcoholic adult drinks (only Heineken 0) so car drivers stuck to soft drinks. Unfortunately we were so stuffed from our starters and mains that we didnt get to sample the pudding menu but there was plenty that peaked my interest! Will be returning!

Cosy pub with outside area suitable for children. Good food. My son enjoyed creating his own pizza - beef & prawn!
