Overated. Not really French. Mediocre menu.rather bland food. Overpriced and noisy in the conservatory. On the positive side we had a warm welcome and the service was excellent.

Lovely place to eat or drink in a tranquil setting,specially with the most English of sports- cricket being played on the adjoining pitch. Well decorated and ultra clean toilets !

Good Friday , town packed . Decided on a change of venue. Nice selection of cocktails. Enjoyed the food and the garden area.

-PLEASE NOTE THAT I CONSIDER THE FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE ETC. TO BE 5*'S-My issue that prevents me from awarding an overall 5*'s concerns some of the restaurant's opportunistic policies around both cancellation fees (£10 within 24 hours prior to the booking per every head booked) and even worse-if you are celebrating a birthday, it's £20 to store the cake in the restaurant for under 30 minutes in our case!For those who have principals which make you see red when the restaurant owner's bank account goes more into the black for what I (a reasonable person one would like to think) view as blatant p-taking should consider before going.

Lovely early dinner in the beautifully decorated conservatory. Our friendly waiter was clearly very knowledgeable about the food on the menu and provided excellent recommendations. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
