Cafe Lounge in Worthing

Used to really like this cafe, never understood why it wasn't busier. Seems to have changed hands and when I visited yesterday it was very different. Unfriendly person behind the counter, they finished a fairly lengthy conversation before passing the order to the kitchen, coffee wasn't hot and neither was the food when it arrived....which is a shame as it would have been quite good if it had been. No other customers there and staff disappeared for a chat in the kitchen and off shopping. I felt pretty uncomfortable so ate quickly and left.

Not been here in some time, but was in today between meetings and they’ve spruced up the inside, it’s brighter and cleaner and the chairs are still super comfy and nicely placed. Although it was quiet when we went the waitress was happy and friendly and service was fast, and the food was cooked well and really tasty! Nice prices and obviously fresh!Although the waitress seemed new (I’m basing this on the fact she didn’t know how to make the milkshakes) she was eager and friendly. She took the time to chat without being OTT, but without making you feel like a number. All ok all a good trip out! The one downside was it was very quiet seen as it’s a lovely sunny September day and seemed busy in town! But with the “just breathe” waitress and her happy breezy attitude I can’t see that last long! Will definitely be back!

My family (8 people) visited Cafe Lounge this morning for breakfast and it was awful. There was noone else in the restaurant at the time. When the food came out for many of us it was cold. The last plates were bought out over an hour after we ordered. The plates of food themselves were not consistent with what was on the menu. In the end we asked for refunds and only paid for 3 meals only. With so many good breakfast restaurants in Worthing this place will suffer. Will never eat here again.

Used to like this cafe, it’s clearly changed hands. Waited 40 mins for a breakfast that was partly burnt & partly sloppy. Most of it was inedible but we felt to awkward to say anything as two other customers had complained in the hour we were there so just left & won’t be back.

I was here with a couple of friends. The staff are very friendly, the service is great. They brought out a small plate of complimentary anti pasti while we were chatting. Nice little touch

Lovely little cafe. The gent who served me was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Food was delicious.

I really wanted to like this place as it's indie and in a great location. But the service is shockingly poor. We asked for a chai latte and got a latte with syrup. When we complained the barrister just said it's a latte with syrup. Food quality is poor. The staff don't seem to have been trained in customer service or food hygiene. Soulless atmosphere. Disabled toilet had a notice saying out of order - this summer up the cafe! There are so many better cafes locally for a better experience. I won't be back

Nice clean premises with cheerful happy staff. We are here with grandchildren and food was very nice and reasonably priced.Cafe lounge is located within the shopping area near to the banks and five minutes from the major stores. We visited on a Saturday and the staff were young but this did not cause any problem. They were very helpful.

Awful and expensive food. The staff seem to have just come off the customer resentment course and one of them seemed not to understand English.A soulless place, I've seen more life in a tramps vest. The toilets take you back to a Victorian era and were filthy. Don't go there.

Visited establishment on 28th August 2016 approx 13.30. Two members of staff behind the counter one stood next to me and was ignored by all three. Courtesy and customer service extremely poor. £2.75 for a tiny slice of cake that doesn't even taste that great, won't be going back. I would not award any stars but to post this comment had to award at least one.
