I very rarely leave a poor review as there are always two sides to every story but I vowed never to shop in Worthing M&S again after seeing an incident last year with very rude staff. However over Christmas we had to pop in and once again witnessed rude arrogant female staff belittling (would be classed as ‘bullying’ in many companies) a customer. I just don’t understand why this store is allowed to treat the paying customer the way they do when Chi and Shoreham go out of their way to be pleasant. The management need to revisit their customer care plan and retrain staff as this is totally unacceptable.

14th January 2022, around 2.30 pm. Overwhelming smell of urine in the Men's toilets. No hand towels to dry hands in the unisex one, urine around pedestal, which I wiped with my own paper tissue. Of course no sanitisers anywhere. Waste bin totally crammed full. My wife said two cubicles in the ladies were 'out of order'. I don't live in Worthing, but did once. Whenever I visit (not often) and go to M&S we find the toilets in poor condition, bad maintenance. Contrast with Shoreham-Holmbush where the standards of cleanliness are far higher, never had problems with toilets; visit more frequently (from Horsham). No standard men's shirts, just some big check, 'lumberjack' thick ones and some dress shirts, white; told I would have to go to Shoreham-Holmbush by an assistant who had a couldn't care less attitude. Another rapidly disappeared when I asked him. The Worthing store is poor and it only has a star from me as otherwise I couldn't post this. Ivan Stevens, Southwater, Horsham, West Sussex.

Took my daughter for a sandwich and coffee today for an early lunch. Ordered sandwiches which were lovely. I accidentally spilt my coffee on my hand whilst waiting to pay and it was luke warm!! When I told the young girl this she just said "it's hot."I told her it wasn't. But as there was a queue I didn't make a fuss. Wish now I had.She was very rude. I was surprised by her negative attitude.

Offers loads of different types of products, I go there a few times in the food hall, where they have loads of fresh food from loads of different countries. Recommend going there.

Went in to buy clothes - lucky to find anything a) in my size and fit and b) that I actually wanted. M&S need to do a lot more research into who their aveage customers are and not assume that they are all slim fit younger men.Recently went to the cafe and found that they were now serving drinks in disposable cups with wooden cutlery. The supplied wooden 'knife' failed to cut a scone properly and I was left with a pile of crumbs on the plate.Really? Avoid and go to a local cafe that still upholds standards.

Nice big shop, nice and clean. But the toilets, they'll not just toilets they are M&S toilets, dirty lots of litter on the floor, you can tell they haven't been cleaned all day. M&S you should be ashamed.

Had excellent help and service from a lady in the men's department at the worthing branch recently. I think she said her name was Linda. She was extremely busy as they seemed very short staffed but she still managed to help me find what I wanted. Thank you Linda!

I went to this M&S store whilst I was visiting Worthing from Brighton and it was ok and I like it how it’s right next to the seafront area which is only a short walk from there including in the town centre.Giving this 5 stars and a solid 9 out of 10. 👍👍👍👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧🏴

Staff usually nice. Had to exchange and return something and the lady was so helpful and nice. Pointed out I had picked up 3 for 2 items and I could get another free. Good range of goods for a smaller Marks. Cafe OK if not too busy and a view over the seafront.
