MacMillans Bar in Worthing

Far too expensive for what it is. This place used to be a hidden gem for affordable top class steak in Worthing. Unfortunately they now charge Hawksmoor prices without delivering the Hawksmoor experience. A real shame.

Lovely food! We had the steak. It was perfection 👌 We came on a Saturday evening and it was super busy. There was a large table of really loud guests but that's not the restaurants fault. I would come again definitely but I'd choose a quieter time so I could relax a little more.

Amazing atmosphere, with great music and the food is cooked to perfection! They always amaze us with their friendly service and we will deffinatly come back!

My new favourite place! I have never had better food ever!!! The steak was insane and everything else perfect. Vibe was chilled and our waitress was so lovely. I can’t wait to go again!

Went here with friends,as been here many times and never fails to disappoint. The place was packed,so there was a little wait for our food but that didn't bother us at all. The steaks were amazing along with the rest of the food. Service was good and the place had a good atmosphere. I visited the gents and was blown away by the decor,felt very trippy and had trouble finding the door to get out lol but that was probably down to the amount of alcohol I consumed. Macmillans is well worth a visit and will definitely be going back.

Great vibe, welcoming and great range of drinks. Sat at the bar, drank some whisky and had a lovely chat with two of the barmen who introduced me to Greek Mastic. Will definitely go again.

We were really looking forward to eating here after trying the food at the Worthing and Brighton food festival. The restaurant is really well decorated and the food was superb. Sadly we chose a night where there was a large party of people who were screaming, shouting and swearing all night. We managed to change tables together with other diners. We spoke to the staff several times about the loudness but nothing was done. We very much enjoy going out and having fun but this was like eating in the middle of a night club. I’ve never experienced anything like this. We love the food but would think twice about coming back as the very noisy inconsiderate crowd totally ruined what was going to be a great experience. Do not sit at the back of the restaurant if you want half a chance of hearing each other talk.

Loved this 🤩. We visited Macmillans tonight and the vibe was so chil. The food was amazing. The quality of the steak was just amazing, cooked to perfection and cut like butter. The satay dish and wings were amazing. Will definitely have that again. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great night. 👍

Great cocktails, great food. Inventive bbq style small plates, best pork rib I've had outside London. Steaks on the pricey side but very good cuts cooked perfectly.

Went for meal here under new covid restrictions, felt very safe, hygiene levels were high and social distancing was well observed. The food was absolutely delicious, highly recommended the bang bang chicken wings! We had to send my main meal back as I requested "well done" as I'm currently pregnant so can't eat pink meat but it was more medium when it arrived, they were very apologetic and changed it without hesitation, they even gave us a complimentary shot (non alcoholic for me) but way of apology. I felt like such a pain as I would normally happily eat meat like that but they made me like it was no bother at all. We stayed for a few drinks after an by all accounts the cocktails are fabulous, they even made me a mocktail which isn't on the menu. There service was above an beyond i will definitely be returning.
