Great service, atmosphere and the food was delicious 😋 there's also an amazing kids area with monkey bars and slides and room for her to run outside which is a huge bonus only bettered by the fact that there is mini heat things and tables to sit at while she plays its a big YES FROM ME!

I had the bacon and onion suet roll with fresh vegetables and it was delicious, just like my Mum used to make. Although I was very full I still managed the sultana sponge and custard, which was also delicious. All for £20 including a diet coke. I'll definitely be back for more of the same. A perfect meal, thank you.

Thoroughly recommend the fox for service and quality of the food. It was by far the best standard of food I’ve had in a long time when compared to other restaurants in this area. During our visit, we had a small mistake in the order that was quickly and satisfactorily resolved. Compliments to the chef and staff.

Enjoyed lunch excellent food and service friendly atmosphere, dog friendly. Will certainty be returning very soon. Fully deserves a 5 star rating.

We arrived an hour before start of food but were sat at a table near the roaring fire and told we would be served ASAP. This was fine with us and our orders were taken very soon after, the choice of food was very good. The meal was enjoyed by us all and a local lad even topped the fire up for us. Despite it being apparently a food style pub there were obviously locals in enjoying a pint or two. The Longman Brewery bitter was exceptional. The staff/owners were very welcoming and we will definitely return.

Went for an Xmas lunch in a group of 20+, the service was very good,with no long waits between courses.The food was in generous, delicious and hot portions.The whole experience was great,we will certainly return in the New year. Merry Xmas!!

Christmas lunch with the girls. 2 years in a row. We have enjoyed it very much. Lovely staff. Tranquil environment. Amazing food. I steared off of the Christmas menu and had a Sirloin Steak with peppercorn sauce and dauphin oise potatoes, I absolutely enjoyed every bite. Sad to hear they are changing hands!

OMG, what a terrific lunch experience, the game is first class. Top restaurant, service is first class. The seating is very comfortably spaced with very clean tables, those little things that annoy a dining pleasure are just not here. Menu is luscious with something for all.Thank you to all the front of house staff who must get there confidence from the excellent kitchen. Back soon! (Try the trout).

Visited on a Monday lunchtime and although it was quite busy we were lucky to get a table for 2 without a reservation. Quick, friendly table service With some fantastic food - salt and pepper squid was some of the best we've ever had. They have a huge outdoor eating area as well as a childrens playground, plenty of indoor seating and ample parking spaces. Would highly recommend.

Lovely surroundings and great seating space outside or in a marquee. Food was all of great quality especially the Lamb burger. Staff very professional and great service even if it was fully up at lunchtime. Highly recommended and hope they keep up this level of service in the futurr
