The Rose & Crown Public House in Worthing

We went to Rose and Crown to watch the football, only to be greeted by racist comments and remarks. I was so shocked, it only just hit me as we sat down what I’d heard. I am absolutely disgusted and deeply saddened that people still to this day think it’s okay to be so foul mouthed, small minded, ignorant and completely inferior! My partner is a million of any of those middle aged, bigoted, white, narrow minded men that frequent that dive! The only reason I didn’t go back and educate those beasts once I’d sat down was because my partner asked me not to and was extremely graceful and was the bigger person and said it wasn’t worth it. I was absolutely fuming to say the least. And no we didn’t leave, we weren’t going to give anyone in there the satisfaction. People need to be educated. Businesses need to be held accountable and need to be educated and informed when such disgusting things happen in their establishment. Absolutely appalling. Shame on you all. Go and educate yourselves! If that’s at all possible given the type of clientele!!

Friendly staff... Excellent environment to chill and have a drink

One of the better pubs in Worthing, reasonable prices for drinks, no food available which is a shame as it used to. Very much a sports bar with TV's in every nook & cranny, so for footie etc probably the best in town.

This is a great pub. Only reason not 5 stars now as no longer serving food (which was always excellent).

Great venue great atmosphere, great beer and terrific staff.

I used to come here many many years ago when they had one of the early video juke boxes. It still looks the same and is a very pleasant pub. The girls behind the bar clearly love their job.

Lovely pub. Lovely staff. comfortable feeling .We found the rose and crown Very welcoming .We came down to Worthing to stay for a night .and went into the rose and crown and was very impressed . Well done to the staff. We will definitely be coming back soon 💯

Staff were really friendly and coping well with a place under new management. It was the night of an England match so very busy. The place is awesome outside, quite modern ( but not overly so) Nd comfortable inside. It's probably the only proper pub near the front. No food then but plenty of places nearby.

Lovely staff, great food just like home cooked. Highly recommended.
