Every month or so we fancy a massive breakfast with no frills or pretentiousness and the Toby Carvery all you can eat breakfast buffet is exactly that. Lovely people and as much breakfast as you can eat, what's not to like? It is incredibly hot inside just an FYI so wear layers you can shed!

Haven't been in a Toby for a very long time due to an awful experience at one. Went with some friends to this one on their recommendation. Well it was excellent very friendly, helpful staff. The carvery was also excellent very good choice and lovely and fresh. Will be going back.

Tom and the team were just amazing. Managed to get us a seat without a booking when it was busy. Always very attentive and the quality of the food was great. Veggie options were ace 👌🏼

We were a family of 6 celebrating the start of our granddaughters birthday and have visited The George on numerous occasions but never been so disappointed as this morning for breakfast..Choice was limited ,bacon was dried up ,food was luke warm ,no plates or knives for the toast and the toaster was burning all the bread

I love the Toby Carvery.you can serve yourself with the amount of food you are happy with. ( large or small ) staff always friendly and helpful. You may have to wait 5 minutes for your table but that just tells you everyone or mostly everyone goes there because it's good.

Good food at a fair price. Avoid the bottomless drink though. Expensive and poor quality fountain drinks. With Omicron threatening to overcome the U.k at the moment , it felt too " cosy " when the restaurant started to get busy. Social distancing was not being observed . It felt risky and I wasnt paranoid about Covid when we visited 5 days ago.

We've just returned from visiting Toby Carvery (Worthing), where we both ordered a carvery meal.Even though we hadn't made a reservation (we were just passing through Worthing!!!), at the entrance we were very courteously greeted and booked in by Tom, who found us a lovely table straight away, even though we had just gone to the bar area to order drinks, as Tom had given us a pager to let us know when a table would be free!!!....(the restaurant was very busy at 1pm - around the time we visited). Our drinks order was served very quickly at the bar, by a very friendly young girl (apologies, but we didn't take her name!!).Once we sat at our table, the waitress (Emma H), took our food order straight away. The queue for the carvery food was not long, as the chef serving was very quick at doing so. As well as all the carvery meats, all the vegetable dishes along the counter in front of him, were nicely topped up and all the food therein was very well cooked, very tasty and hot (including the gravy). All sauce dishes next to the gravy, were also all topped up nicely and the worktops were free from spillages.Throughout our meal, the waitress serving us (Emma H), asked us as to whether everything was ok with our meal...which indeed it was!!. Emma was very professional and friendly during the time we were having our meal and even though the restaurant was very busy, she always looked very calm and smiling when talking to everyone who was dining there. We will most definitely pop into this Toby Carvery again, should we be passing in future.
