"We are a one of small group of independent Hamburger restaurants. Uncle Sams first opened in Brighton 1971 when we were the only place to get a real hamburger in the south. Today we have 12 sites and still make the best burgers (and veggie and chicken meals) you can buy. We start cooking only when you give us your order. Nothing is made and kept in a hot box – everything is freshly cooked. We put a grilled lean Beef Pattie topped with lettuce and red onions and your choice of sauces and toppings in a toasted bun to make the best you can buy. We serve French fries, triple thick real dairy milk-shakes, fizzy drinks, onion rings and mozzarella fingers all freshly made to your order. Come round for a feast today"

Cant really comments on food , went in 4pm on a Monday and ordered food was told there would be a "slight" wait of 15-20 mins . walked back out again and went to McDonalds instead. No other customers in the shop and the guy was rude clearly couldn't be bother and didn't want to work there

Food is alright, not as good as it used to be, but having to wait over two hours for a delivery is an absolute joke. Also to be told twice it had been delivered is farcical. Never able to ask the whereabouts of your food is as they never bother to answer the phones.

Have previously been happy with uncle Sam's but not today. Ordered a blue cheese burger. 4.15I got lettuce and a patty in a sesame seed bun. Asked for refund youngish guy said need manager I said ok call him. Going to voicemail. He offered a new burger and chips. I said no. He had put me off. I said give me chips and refund the difference. Which means I paid 2 pound for fries. Terrible

On Saturday night we placed an order for the whole family. The place was really quiet. The order was very large (over £90) & when I made a joke about it being all for just me they didn’t get it at all (not an issue) but looked absolutely disgusted at me!!!! I collected the order & went home (a 5 minute drive) & giving everyone their food, we realised we had two large milkshakes missing. We thought never mind & would give the store a call after dinner. As we all started dinner we realised that it wasn’t the normal quality & that the food was a mixture of burnt, stale or just missing food & drinks. Just to top it all off too it was all cold. The food was inedible for everyone so it went in the bin, and those who received their drinks had those.I called the store expecting it to be a straightforward apology & replacement food or a refund but spoke to someone from the store who kept forgetting what was even wrong with the order & didn’t know what to do. I assume they were new so asked if I could speak to someone who could put through a refund. He went off the phone & could hear him speaking to a colleague who very bluntly put there was nothing they were going to do about it & it wasn’t their problem. The person on the phone then came back to me & said they couldn’t do anything & to contact Just Eat, then apologised.Just Eat are being less than helpful as they don’t do refunds, so I just wanted to warn anyone thinking of ordering from them. If you like 2 shreds of lettuce in your wrap, crunchy burgers, burnt dry chips & an imaginary drink though, this is the place for you!
