Danesfield House in Wycombe

Had a lovely birthday meal here , they gave me gorgeous birthday cake delivered to our room too ! They also have a Spa and the treatments i have had were really luxurious, made me feel fantastic.

Stunning venue with beautiful grounds. I attended a party which was beautifully organised, great service and delicious food. The hotel room was traditionally furnished with four poster. Top notch.

We stayed for 4 days, on the last morning I went to the pool while my husband checked out, he came to join me and was told the spa has a no use after check out policy. The spa reception came into the pool area and asked me to leave while I was swimming. Very unpleasant end to what had been a fairly nice stay. I don’t understand this policy, most hotels make a selling point of guests being able to use facilities immediately prior to or after check out. There was one other person in the pool. So unnecessary.

Very dull soft drinks and lunch menu, especially if you’re staying a few days. Supermarket sliced bread. Better sandwiches in Greggs. The younger staff on check in and the spa desperately need training, they mess up the most basic orders, questions or requests. Three sun beds for use in the garden (?) covered in bird poo and really unclean. The spa reception couldn’t care less and sent the bar man to clean them. The waiters are great, skilled, professional. The hotel has great potential but there seems to be a total absence of any thoughtful management.

Everything was the best I have experienced of all the hotel and spa breaks I have had! The staff were so professional, helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful and comfy with great views. Many compliments to housekeeping, grounds and maintenance teams for the superb upkeep of all. Food was amazing and the service was so attentive, flexible and professional. The Spa has a good size pool with plenty of chairs and facilities, along with excellent treatments. Huge thankyou to all.... wholeheartedly recommend and a great location too!

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend away at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa. Not only are the grounds and premises beautiful, but the service and staff made the whole experience seamless and unforgettable. Particular thanks to Lauren, Franklin, Josh and Fernando who provided excellent service throughout our stay. I cannot recommend Danesfield House enough for a relaxing weekend getaway.

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing grounds. Certainly one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The bedroom was luxuriously appointed with an amazing view of the grounds and the Thames. The restaurant staff were very professional and nothing was too much trouble. The service at this hotel is first class. The spa pool had ample seating and the treatments we had were really relaxing. All of the staff were exceptional. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay here, the house and grounds are very impressive, make sure you allow time for a walk around!My spa treatment from Marilyn was fantastic. All the staff were polite and friendly.Breakfast was tasty and the view from the table was great. I enjoyed a mocha alongside my eggs Benedict.The highlight was seeing the hotel cats, Michael and Matthew, who were waiting patiently outside for their breakfast and enjoyed a fuss!

We had a truly magical experience at the Danesfield House Hotel just before Christmas for a joint birthday celebration with my twin sister.The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the rooms magnificent with lovely clean bathrooms. The view of the gardens from the room was also wonderful. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Although not all the staff wore masks, most did, and it made the hotel feel very safe.We had access to the pool and spa for a fixed time slot to ensure it wasn’t too busy and the dinner in the restaurant was delicious and beautifully presented. They also let us bring in our own birthday cake to celebrate at the table.We had a really special weekend and visited the lovely town of Marlow the next morning to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Would definitely recommend this hotel and cannot fault our stay.

Wonderful location with fantastic manicured grounds and magnificent building steeped in history.Staff really pleasant and helpful. A fabulous place for a short break as it has the additional benefit of a spa.Lunch was beautifully presented, although menu is a little restricted. Dinner menu is more varied so we will return!! However the food was first class.Would have no problem recommending this venue.
