We arrived 15min before closing, we were in and out within 10min.The staff were welcoming and super helpfull as always. Not rushing or feeling like your holding anyone up.Product Quality doesn't make a store complete the staff and team at the end of a busy day still being attentive do.

Took in (to return) a faulty Dualit toaster to be told it would be shipped off for “around a couple of weeks” no apology, no refund, no temporary replacement. The only thing I did receive was smart aleck answers on why they toaster was not at fault and in fact not that expensive for a toaster. It almost set our house on fire and at £200 I beg to disagree, also listed as one of the top three most expensive on the John Lewis website. Surely as the consumer, you should be entitled to decide whether you receive a refund, replacement or are willing to bring a clearly faulty piece of equipment back into your home when it was covered and well within the 5 year warranty. Not to mention the fact we will have to buy a temporary replacement. With it being priced as one of the most expensive toasters available to buy on the website, I wouldn’t recommend buying it. It may look nice, but it doesn’t toast evenly, the staff member educated me that for an even toast you have to preheat it (another smart response in front of other customers and information we were never given when buying it) who has time for that before the school run, not to mention the fact it will be increasing energy bills. The fault in question is that the timer stops ticking making you believe the toaster has finished, but it continues to heat, so hot that without any smoke the fire alarm went off. Had we missed this and left the house there would have undoubtedly been a fire. After discussing the issue with my husband, I decided I might have a more successful time discussing the issue directly with Dualit. However when I returned and asked to raise the issue with the manager, I was left feeling incredibly intimidated by what felt like being watched by a panel of staff members as I continued to put my point across to the manager. All of these staff members appeared to be seasoned pros at fobbing off customers with no other answer than repeating it’s what they do. Might I add, they compared the toaster fault to being without a phone. But I’d be surprised if a faulty phone might set fire to your home.Needless to say, this is the opposite of the customer service you expect when shopping with John Lewis, which is the whole reason we bought from there in the first place. It’s a shame really when the rest of the staff prior to the team at technical support had been incredibly helpful. The whole experience made me feel so embarrassed I felt better taking a fire hazard back into my home rather than continue to feel belittled by such obnoxious members of staff.

The service at the store in High Wycombe was fantastic, but take a deep breath and sit down if you ever call what appears to be the store's number with any follow-up. What follows is the worst call centre hell you can ever imagine. And not what you'd expect from John Lewis! Old style delay on the line so you speak over each other, and endless questions that conclude with them filling out a form to get the store to contact you. Unbelievably poor.As an update: the call centre said someone would ring about the BBQ I had purchased. I did get a call from the wrong department at High Wycombe, was promised a call from the correct department, and never heard another word.

This review is about The Place to Eat - the internal restaurant. It's certainly not a place to eat if you're vegan. It's pretty poor if you're veggie. I've given one star because the single dish available was fresh but it was The Only Dish. Not even a sandwich. They did have non dairy milk but other than that if you didn't like tomatoes and soggy croutons then you were scuppered. It looked ok but it was outrageously expensive for chopped tomatoes, soggy croutons, a couple of basil leaves, a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds and balsamic vinegar. Come on JL - get into the 21st C!

Fantastic, well done to the lovely helpful ladies in Dress dept. and also ladies shoes and handbags.Went to buy a dress, shoes and a clutch bag for my partner to wear for a family wedding.Staff were superb and now one very satisfied customer, well done to everyone. It was definitely the right choice to go to John Lewis, got it all in one shop, great quality and price.

Overall good, however the cafe was really lacking in vegan options. So many lovely looking cakes and pastries but there were only a couple of prepackaged vegan brownies. Also, there was only one vegan option on the lunch menu. I’d really expect more from a company like John Lewis. I was left disappointed but I hope the options for those that can not have dairy/gluten/vegan will improve in future.

Excellent retailer, top quality goods and best of all the sales team know all about their product range and give good advice. It is a real positive shopping experience. Worth the premium price. Highly recommended.

This John Lewis used to be so good. I went elsewhere for a new TV a couple of weeks ago even though they had it in stock and I could have got it there and then. So so rude now. I went back today for a bracket. The manager checking stock for an LG sales rep didn't even bother to look up from the screen to ask me what I wanted. Just moaned about lack of staff, moaned about having to check stock. When I went to pay the guy was friendly but nothing worked, the printer, the terminal, he said its quite normal. No staff and nothing works..........great stuff. How the mighty have fallen.

I wanted to let you know how impressed we were with Dee, the gentleman helping people in the suits department today. It was SO helpful and identified exactly the right suits and shoes for my 2 sons, and searched around other stores when an item wasn't available. He really knows his stuff, was very friendly and made a tiresome chore into a really pleasant experience. Thank you!

After 3 months of putting up with a tumble dryer that took approx 3 cycles and several hours to dry clothes & after emailing the head of customer service we got a refund which is great news.I just wish it hadn't taken months...........................................................Bought a Hotpoint tumble dryer online on the 10th June 2021- has been producing an error from day 1. We only took a fault photo at day 15 to show the error, reported at day 32 and the iniital chat sounded good then we got put through to the electrical suport team where they refuse to refund and want to keep inspectin the unit. Hotpoint have tried to fix it twice and now are putting the blame on us for not using the tumble dryer correctly, I have used tumble dryers for 30 years!!! Or that we are deliberatley breaking it. John Lewis's view is they will never refund unless the manufurer says it is faulty - a bit of a conflict of interest! & No 3rd party resolution process or email esclation process that we were told of. John Leiws's view is that it is "Fit for Purpose" as it dries clothes, well when the alarm starts it stops heating so it takes 3 cycles to dry a normal load. It isn't great. We told them this they seems to get annoyed, won't refund and said they would not respond to our points. Multiple videos shared even after 30 minutes after the hotpoint engineer left after they had cleaned it out and inspected it as working perfecty! Well we wont be spending the 1000s of pounds with them for goods after of our house extension is complete. All for ÂŁ260 which would refunded. We also can't review the rubbish machine as John Lewis have stopped selling it! Attached are a few(Now reduced to 1) vidoes of the error coming on again. Well they say you judge a company about what they do when things go wrong, and well they have...
