Attended a wedding reception and the staff were great, the wedding co-ordinator was fabulous, drinks were reasonably priced and a good time was had by all. My only criticism was the ladies loo absolutely stank, the cubicles less so, so i think it was a drains issue. Not sure if they were checked for cleanliness, because if they were then the staff would have picked up on it. Otherwise a great venue

Not a Review as such, but the Hotel burned down on 08/09th October 2021. A sad end to one of the best places in the local area and a beautiful building.

Just spent two nights at this delightful hotel. Arrived to a very warm welcome from the lovely lady on reception. Every staff member we encountered during our stay was friendly and smiling! Particular shout out to Dean the Head Chef, who we spoke to on several occasions. We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights and on each occasion he took personal pride in coming out to check our meals were OK. On the first night we had a Dirty Burger and a Four Cheese pizza, both were fantastic and super tasty. On the second night we had Calamari and Duck Spring Rolls to start followed by a Dirty Burger (on my recommendation) and a Goat's cheese pizza. Finished off with GF Sticky Toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and Cheese Board. Delicious meal in a lovely environment. Nice atmosphere and music pleasant! For breakfast the first day we had a full English cooked to order, which was delicious (scrambled eggs were amazing!!!!!!!). This morning the restaurant was busier so a breakfast buffet was laid on, which tasted as freshly cooked as being cooked to order yesterday. All piping hot and tasty! Nice selection of cereal and accompaniments, and good array of milk choices.Room was very clean and functional, and made up again following first night's stay. Would definitely return again! Thank you for a great stay!Very much enjoyed: Aston Rowant Nature Reserve which was a 5 minute drive from the hotel; Bicester Shopping Village approx. 30 mins away and another walk near to that with huge pond and lots of friendly ducks!Would highly recommend.

Not a patch on the US sadly food is sub par and does not have the same feel or customer experience as to what I have experienced in America.Food's rushed and poorly presented.Felt like it had just been chucked in the bag needed more time on the grill.Outside bin over flowing flys and mess all over the floor not a pleasant place to sit and eat better to take the food back to the car.

Got married here on the 7th August. Every single employee made the day run so smoothly, bar staff was great, receptionist were brilliant & head chef and his team was great. 3 course meal was spot on, couldn’t fault it.Massive shout out to Julianne for making our day ever so special, if I could do it all again I would and we wouldn’t change a thing.Thank you so much, day we will remember forever ♥️♥️

I would say this resembles more a Pub with Rooms than a hotel. Stayed 2 nights, room small no cupboard but a hanging rail which had been affixed too low for my wife’s dresses to hang fully.Breakfast cooked to order 1st morning but buffet on the 2nd nowhere near as nice and not worth paying the extra money for.Ok for a 1 night stay but not worth it for more and quite a distance from Oxford.

Very small bedroom but adequate for one night. Hotel bigger than expected and bar had no ambiance whatsoever The breakfast which had to be timed ordered and the menu bore no relation to the eventual v tired buffet offered in the morning.

Function room was perfect for 60th birthday celebration. Delicious buffet. Lots of compliments on the food. Everything was very well organised by Julieanne. Everyone had a great evening. We Stayed the night and the room was very clean modern and comfortable.

We had a private dinner party here just before the 6 people rule came in. There was 16 adults and 4 children. It was an engagement celebration. We payed for a 3 course meal for everyone at £30 a head. When me and my partner arrived, the bar man greeted us by saying "So you guys are the reason we have to work late then"It was not said in a joking way it was said very rudely. The starter and dessert were lovely but you cannot go wrong with soup/prawn cocktail and a brownie. The main however was extremely dry and hard and the meat was very rubbery. Complaints were made to the staff about this and their response was "The chef went home 4 hours ago so there's nothing we can do"Which obviously means our food was reheated and that explains why it was terrible. We also paid for a king size room overnight (extra £20) but was given a double. They advised we would have a cooked continental breakfast the following morning, which was £7.00 each and we were only served toast and cereal for £7!!!I have been chasing them to resolve this for over 20 days and no one has gotten back to me. We spent around £800 in total.Do not recommend

My friend took me there for lunch, we had the Ribeye steak served with stilton sauce (A very generous portion) the tastiest chips, beans tomato and a black mushroom. What a wonderful meal well worth a try. Thanks Kings 😀
