What a brilliant place! A World War 2 experience / museum all in one. excellent service. We only had coffee and cake but will definitely be going back for more.

Even my teenagers thought this place was brilliant. We visited with their Gran who lives near, all way from Devon. My 12 Yr old said it was the best museum she had ever been to! I am under 50 but it evoked 1970/80s memories of my childhood and definitely Grans. Lots chatter. Oh...and food was utterly fab! Thank you!! So unexpected. Will be back. L, S, O and T.

It has been an amazing experience dining there! It is full of history and has countless objects from WWI and II. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were generous and the total bill was very affordable. I strongly recommend the air raid shelter café not only for lunch but also for an engaging, and memorable history lesson!

This place is amazing. The decor is wartime themed. The background music is 1940s and 50s. The service is warm and friendly, even first thing in the morning. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Recommend the breakfasts. And the Union Jack Hot Chocolate.Oh, and the pot of tea is a PROPER pot. Definitely going again.

After reading all the reviews we had high expectations and decided to give this place a try for an afternoon coffee. The themed decor is interesting and inviting but sadly it was downhill from there. When ordering our cappuccinos the young lady was yawning and seemed less than interested. We sat down in an alcove with a model railway running which was very nice, however it took ages before we were served our drinks despite the place not being very busy at the point when we ordered. I had to chase our order and when it finally arrived it was the worse coffee we had been served for a long time. Tasteless and basically over hot milk. At this point a large group of people came in and there was a substantial queue so we decided to leave after just a few sips and go to a more established coffee house. Perhaps the 2 young ladies who were taking orders and serving were new or perhaps they had an off day. Either way we will not being going back despite all the fabulous reviews. Shame as the place was lovely inside and perhaps we were unlucky.

I had a cream tea which was presented beautifully and the scone was still warm. Very happy with the service and the quirky seating areas.

Great food and coffee. Much to learn from museum and see. Definitely a place to go

Now this place is a real gem! I cannot believe I only found it now! I just love the decor. It definitely transports you back in time! Staff are so nice and so helpful. We tried cream teas and they are definitely one of the best ones I have ever eaten. So fresh, so delicious, just right. Prices are good. You have a choice of different savoury meals, including English breakfast, as well. Highly recommend!

This place is quirky, original & educational. With pictures from WW2 & other WW2 related images unique to the town of High Wycombe adorning the walls, along with reprints of newspapers of that era too, this cafe is as much a history lesson (an enjoyable one) as it is somewhere to eat & drink. But that's just a fraction of what's on offer. There's a replica Air Raid shelter & train carraige inside, along with a seating area which pays homage to how people's front rooms were back in the 1940's.It even has a piano. Though I'm not sure if any customers have ever played some old wartime songs on it.The menu is also just as quirky & the value for money is just incredible - just like the service. The Air Raid Cafe is now a firm favourite with my family & a trip to High Wycombe now, isn't complete without a visit.
