Food was nice and hot. Good value for the local area Nice big pots of tea and coffee. We also enjoy a cold beer or cider in the garden here on a warm day. Plus they have contactless payments!

Excellent Mother's day meal with parents and my boys. Since AJ the chef has started the meals have been lovely, I had a super Lamb Shank all served piping hot and the portion sizes are good value. All staff and of course Sam O perfect friendly service as always!Great selection of drinks as well.

After a period of transition the Black Horse now has a great chef who prepares delicious, varied and reasonably priced food. There's also specials nights and some great things planned.The pulled beef in BBQ sauce on chips is wonderful!

Great steaks, ice cold Guinness and pleasant staff. What's not to like?

Popped in as part of a walk, lovely country pub, but the experience was made by the lady behind the bar, well mannered and able to have a laugh and a joke with us, just like it used to be in pubs

Really nice proper pub. Great food, nice choice of alcohol and draft ales. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Great meal with the 4 of us trying a selection of the homemade food, Lasagna and Chilli etc.Food was excellent and served really hot.The pub has a new chef, we are looking forward to trying more of the menu. A really enjoyable evening!

Thanks to the kind staff that served us food (a very decent chicken Sunday roast for 6) even being quite late. After hours hiking the food tasted better than ever and the staff were very kind and helpful.

Great pub with a nice garden ,perfect for families with children. The food has been great and the staff is very friendly. I have been few times here and I will definitely recommend this pub.
