Lovely country pub, beautiful decorated, huge garden with lots of space for children to run around and dog friendly. Heated terrace with sun / rain covers. Food looks yummy too. Just beware the main door to the ladies sticks.Big car park, easy to find as it's on the main road though the village. Very friendly landlady and bar staff.

This lovely pub in a beautiful area of the Chilterns has an interesting menu to suit all tastes, and quality food that is freshly prepared, well presented and reasonably priced. But what really stood out to me was that the management and staff really care about their customers. Respect to the lovely landlady Adele who took over at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. It can't have been an easy journey for her but she clearly puts her heart and soul into this business, and it shows. I wish Adele and the Boot great success and I will be back for another lunch!

Very comfortable pub with a great menu and delicious food. We turned up a few hours before the bonfire and fireworks next door and despite it being busy they were happy for us to eat at the bar which suited us fine. Had a fantastic roast beef dinner. Service was great, we weren't rushed. Would definitely try again.
