Greeted by a beautiful exterior we knew this would be a nice place to enjoy dinner. And well it was - mostly...the food itself was tasty but portion size was very average especially the hanging kebabs which are one of their champion dishes. One thing they handled well was allergies as one of our party members had many. We were able to speak to the chef prior to arriving and he informed us of all the things that he was and wasn't able to eat. Prices were pretty standard across the board as far as English pubs go, that is to say still pretty expensive. They gave us a pleasant outdoor seating area for our dog which was a nice touch as well. So far so good but ultimately the lack of availability of quite a few dishes and drinks was pretty poor. Lamb and chicken and chorizo hanging kebabs, Caesar salad, cheesy garlic bread and more were unavailable. Service was top class.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with my wife. We selected the vegan sharing platter and couple of sides. Were full but had room to share a desert, a vegan frangipane which was by far the best vegan desert we've had in ages. Knocks the socks off the other chain restaurants that can only manage salted caramel, sorbet, or no vegan ice cream options. Bravo, Botanist! All was enjoyable and the service was excellent.

We had a lovely lunch with family at The Botanist in Marlow! They cater for both vegans and non-vegans, which was great for our group. I had the hanging pork belly kebab and it was delicious. I will definitely go back!

What a fantastic experience we had at the Botanist. There was live music and the band was very good, we even had a little dance afterwards! Absolutely loved the food, great portion sizes and very tasty!I have to rave about our waitress! She was delightful, attentive but not overbearing. Our group of 4 diners felt so at ease with her service! Big thank you to the lovely Miss! We will be back again soon and we wont want anyone else but you!

Really lovely place! Inside is wonderful and food was great! Crunchy and well cooked fish and chips with a nice curry sauce!

Popped into The Botanist for a bite to eat at lunch time over the weekend. It's got great ambiance, accommodating staff and the food was brought out swiftly. Delicious cocktails and the hot plate was divine. My only qualm would be that they provide a finger bowl as the prawns are still in the shell. I love deshelling prawns and getting my fingers dirty but a bowl with warm water and a slice of lemon to rinse off would have gone a long way!!The pork crackling seemed never ending and oh so moreish!! Definitely a place I'd love to visit again as their burgers looked particularly appetizing!

I came here with my boyfriend for a meal on a Sunday. The scenery is lovely and it looks very nice.I am quite a fussy eater, so I look at the menu before going to any restaurant and pick out my food. As it was a Sunday, they were using a reduced menu which didn't have anything that I would eat on (and I didn't want a full roast). The waitress was lovely though and they were still able to whip me up a Fish and Chips. However, the lemonade that I ordered was NOT lemonade at all, it was practically 95% tonic water and I couldn't drink it. They didn't have anything else that I'd drink so I just had water. The meal (although I was so grateful that they even made me it) tasted ashy and damp. The chips had a weird combination of herbs on.This probably sounds like a pedantic, fussy review, but it's completely down to personal preference. I just wouldn't eat here again.

We were there 3/1/22 the restaurant looks fabulous and stuff were very friendly and helpful, Food was served or should say presented very well and the food was ok ! Desert was Very nice But, as soon as we left I & my young daughter had Stomach !!? (Sorry) She Vomited and she was better But, I had the Stomach until late evening! So I don't really know, YOU BE THE JUDGE...

The food was excellent and the place is very nice. Amazing serving too.I left 5 stars for these reasons but they need to learn how to do an Aperol Spritz properly 😅I requested the drink without soda because I wanted it stronger and they served 1 big glass with 2 fingers of Aperol at the bottom…for the same price.I could have paid more but, they decided to serve a mostly-empty glass instead.Anyway, Probably it was my fault for the strange request 😆

Good food and ambience. They accommodated out dog which was nice to see. The good portions are a good size and the cocktails are nice. Will recommend to others. Being used to London prices, the bill was surprisingly at a good value.
