This was our first visit here, it would take alot of persuading for me to go back. Our food was at best average, the service was very slow, half an hour for our starters to arrive. The main problem was that staff were too busy serving their takeaway customers and neglecting their in house diners.I had the chicken biriani, I've never had it with pineapple added, it did not taste good.

I cannot fault anything, a really lovely meal out ! Friendly & attentive staff, well priced menu, a large choice available & cosy ambience. I can certainly recommend this restaurant :)

Extremely disappointed that the restaurant has a hygiene rating of 1 star. I have been eating here for many years so I feel a little betrayed that the hygiene standards behind the scenes are so poor. I won't be returning.

This is one of those restaurants where you’re reluctant to tell people how good it is for fear of it becoming too popular but I can’t resist. I have never been disappointed by the food in The Last Viceroy. Throughout the two lockdowns the quality of food has also remained excellent which is testament to their dedication to produce good quality Indian food. Today’s takeaway was so good, in fact, that my partner was licking the plate clean... I was asked not to post the picture!

Had high hopes given the reputation but I am disappointed. Staff were fine. Food was nothing special, mixed starter was very lacking with 4 random pieces on the sizzler. Jalfrezi was bland and generic as though peppers were added to a simple base. Saag aloo was the highlight. Kingfisher beer was not very good. Atmosphere was buzzing and busy. I won't go back, there is better in the area.
