Great time here. Beautiful surroundings and staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food was sublime, and the accomodation really completes the experience. Can't wait to come back! Thanks to the whole team at the Mash Inn

Absolutely exceptional experience in every way. From the glorious view, to the delightful drinks menu. The food was absolutely out of this world and the service was incredible. Absolutely beautiful produce and flavour combinations all presented so appetisingly. Such a friendly, laid back atmosphere which is exactly what I want out of a longer dining experience. I can’t believe we lived so close to a gem of this calibre and only now discovered it!

Absolutely amazing. Spent a very enjoyable Saturday lunch time here today. The food is worthy of a Michelin star, the staff are very friendly. Not cheap but then you get what you pay for. Go on treat yourself.

Lovely picture perfect village pub and amazing food, rooms and staff. We also loved the walks recommended by staff.

This was a lobster and steak set menu.Interesting nuts and nibbles before the starter which was a great little broth. We then had a small pizza dough slice topped with black garlic,I think! Lobster from Scotland perfectly cooked and a great ribeye. Finished off with a rhubarb sponge. It was all excellent but the pizza dough slice was one of the very best.Great place, staff and cooking. What's not to like?

Spent the night at the Mash Inn just before Christmas and had an amazing time! Jolly the host welcomed us on arrival and due to cancellations because of COVID, our room was upgraded which was lovely. When it came to the evening meal, Nick the owner was fantastic, providing great knowledge on what drinks best complimented the meal and ensuring our every needs were met.The food is INSANE. I'm not much of a foodie myself and not usually a fan of seafood in particular, however each course was an absolute joy to eat and introduced me to flavours which have left me with a deeper appreciation for food taste in general.Set in a quiet picturesque location, I cannot recommend Nick & the Mash Inn team enough!

Amazing stay at the Mash Inn. From the moment we arrived until we departed we were made to feel very welcome by the host Jolly and the owner Nick.We were allowed plenty of time to check in to our room and explore the surrounding valley, and once we returned for dinner there was a beautiful and peaceful ambience for the whole evening. The food was absolutely incredible (mostly sourced fresh from the garden) and the head chef deserves extra credit for the creativity shown in developing the unique menu. Throughout the whole night it didn't even feel like we were eating in a restaurant or pub, but more visiting a friend's house for dinner such was the level of care and hospitality shown by all the staff. The room was cozy and spotlessly keen, and even when the shower temporarily stopped working we were quickly offered free champagne and a discount on a future visit! We look forward to returning very soon.

Great location for a long, relaxing meal. You need to book online. Food absolutely great and clearly close to a Michelin star in the future. Service really friendly. A lovely country Inn on some very windy country lanes.

A brilliant country inn with a stellar kitchen, among my favourite dining experiences anywhere. Try to snag one of their five simple yet deeply comfortable rooms, and you’ve got the makings of a perfect weekend getaway.

It all started very well and had a lovely welcome. The place is beautiful and staff friendly. However when the food came out, we were disappointed. My husband ate the lobster and knew straight away there was something wrong with it from the first bite. He informed the waiting staff who didn’t seem bothered and even suggested that mine should be bad as it was the other half (I am pregnant so I was very concerned by this) 20mins later my husband was violently sick (luckily his body got the food out before getting full food poisoning). On informing the staff we were then basically ignored, both put off by the food we did not eat any more. When discussing the issues with the staff the next morning I was made to feel like we were in the wrong abs my husband may have an allergy. Only 1 glass of wine was taken off the bill. I think spending £550 on this evening was a total rip off and I am truly disappointed and hurt by the way the mash inn dealt with this ordeal. If I had eaten that lobster the situation could have been a lot worse.
