The Mrs and I had a really average Sunday roast. Overpriced food, my roast lamb portion size was pathetic with the most bland roast potatoes, underdone veg, gravy the consistency of water… just not good enough for what was a £50 meal. Service was slow and zero atmosphere. Won’t be returning unfortunately. Both of us had bad stomachs for 24 hours after eating here too. I would consider avoiding.

Nice outdoor seating area, really nice for having a few drinks out in the sun.I wouldn’t recommend the £14 veggie burger, the falafel was just mushy and a bit bleh. It’s a shame as veggie options have come a long way in the last 5 years and there are some great plant based options out there these days.

Went back here today (after going in a couple of years ago) and, again, loved it. We took our baby daughter, dog, and in laws, and felt very welcomed. The people were lovely and the food was amazing. Cheers guys!

We had a very pleasant family meal. The staff were excellent with just the right amount of attention whilst letting the conversation flow. The meal was good and a reasonable selection of beers and wine. The wine I did feel was a little pricey, but it is a community pub so all for a good cause. We need to support the independent pubs or we will end up with the homogeneous pub chains which in my humble opinion would be a disaster.

Absolutely tasty food and fantastic service. The changes we asked to our food was not not only accommodating but exceeded our expectations. The staff were very fantastic as we turned up early and the staff bent over backwards to accommodating us. This is what I call service !

They squeezed us in at the last minute, and the service was very friendly, a little slow as they were quite busy. We had burger, pizza and ham, egg and chips, plus desserts. Food was all of a god standard and quality, definitely recommend

My partner ordered gluten free margherita pizza for her main and even though she enjoyed it at the time she had a severe allergic reaction to gluten and had a terrible weekend. There was some sort of contamination so I did inform the restaurant and asked them to investigate and they assured me that they have put things in place and also retrained the staff to prevent this from happening again.About my food I don’t have anything positive to say.Seafood starter only the bread was good, seafood was really overcooked, prawns and calamari were very chewy and the sauce was just bland and watery. When my main arrived the waitress asked me if I wanted any seasonal greens to which I said to give me a minute and she never came back. The pork was just a bland slab of fat with a small strip of meat and a tiny portion of rice (not wild rice as it was on the menu). Why it was coated in honey and didn’t have any seasoning I do not know. For an £18 dish in a country pub I did expect a lot more in terms of quality and flavour.Lastly the pumpkin cheesecake didn’t have any kind of pumpkin flavour it was a nice vanilla cheesecake with a weak salted caramel sauce. This is the second disappointing dinner we had there so we won’t be visiting again for sure. The food was shockingly bad from start to finish and I think you have a long way to go.

We stopped for a pint and some food in our way back from Wendover woods, and we were pleasantly surprised with the amazing quality food! Wow!

Whilst away on business I stopped for lunch at the Russell Arms.Really lovely staff, attentive and still following covid guidelines which was nice to see. The pub is really well presented and very clean. The lunch menu has a great choice for all.I tried the chicken pasta. It was superb! There is a great choice of ales too.Nice to see a lovely pub still trading post- lockdown when so many have now been forced to close their doors permanently.Keep up the good work!

Really lovely pub. Stopped in for lunch mid-walk and had an impressive seafood salad open sandwich. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, will pop by again :).
