I had booked the private dining room to celebrate my 50th birthday with a family group of 19 people. We had a fantastic lunch. The food was really good and the service was brilliant. Really attentive, friendly staff. They really helped make the day very special for me. Many thanks.

Tonight the service was a little slow which is not the norm but with very good reason and nevertheless we were given the best quality food and the right amount of attention. Absolutely impressed by the waitress dealing with all tables and patrons on that side of the venue. 6 out of 5 stars for Me ☆☆☆☆☆☆Beautiful venue. Pet friendly. Amazing! Super super highly recommend to anyone and everyone making there way throigh Bourne end.Well done!

We visited the Oak restaurant on Saturday. We were pleased to be able to bookmat 3pm after spending the whole day shopping.Service was good, a bit slow only as I guess things were slowind day a bit.My partner has the diablo pizza that had a wonderful ceyst, and I had the vegan bowl that was fine, but a bit dull and felt that it was most cauliflower and watercress. It is located in a beautiful area surrounded by the countryside and I would recommend it if you are nearby.

Haven't been here for a few years, so booked on-line at the last minute for a Sunday dinner. Arrived to be told all Sunday roasts and fish dishes had ran out! Very disappointed, and after looking at the menu and remaining options, decided to leave and had a lovely Sunday roast elsewhere.Sounds like you need better stock management/ordering, come on Spade Oak!

This is the second time we have been back to the Spade Oak inside a few weeks. Breaking up a long dog walk. The refurbishment looks great, but more importantly the welcome we received and the attentive, friendly service we received was second to none. The food (Sunday lunch) was also very good value for money - amazing home made Yorkshire puddings!! A special thanks to Mark (who appeared to be running the show) for looking after us and absolutely loving our dog! Cherrie who looked after us at the table was brilliant and very professional, and James (we had to ask his name as we were leaving) behind the bar was a credit to the team and the Spade Oak! Thoroughly enjoyable Sunday afternoon and we will certainly be making this a regular Sunday lunchtime treat. Well done Spade Oak - you’ve really done yourselves proud!

Hello, everyone! My friend and I had a birthday party at this pub recently. We have the birthdays just day apart, so chose Spade Oak to have a birthday dinner. My friend and his family had visited this pub two times before. First time they were really pleased with the food, the second time... well, less impressed. Nevertheless we decided to give this pub a chance and booked the dinner for 18 people (adults and teenagers). I had sent the order list in advance as I was asked and when we arrived to the pub on the day of the party, we had a separate room for ourselves, were welcomed by the one of the stuff and offered some drinks. The food arrived shortly - I don't think we waited long and in spite of orders from different parts of the menu. The food was excellent. And we had a few "foodies" in our company who could not fail their dishes. Everything was tasty, portions were reasonable - I personally don't like huge ones. Almost everyone had a starter, a main dish and a desert - so at the end of the evening we were quite full :) Also the pub allowed our friend to bring her own cake and served it after the party - I believe not every pub does it. The manager also came to check upon us during the dinner to see whether everything was in order - and it was.So in short, may be we were lucky, but the service was excellent, the food was delicious, we had our own room for the part - it was appreciated. The service charge was included in the bill - which I think was well deserved. The only negative point - the email communication was not the strongest skill of the pub stuff :) I sent a few emails and had to phone the pub to confirm that the emails were received, however, all emails were "actioned".Thank you,Rustam.

Fantastic meal at the Spade Oak. The atmosphere was perfect for a lunchtime bite to eat. We were a group of 6 who all had different items off the menu and each one of us were delighted with the quality of the meals.Lovely staff to match, very accommodating and welcoming. Will definitely be heading back there for more meals and drinks!
