Nice pub with really great food!

Ray’s Kitchen at The Whip! We have been waiting for The Whip to reopen with new management, Ray. During lockdown we had Ray’s takeaways for Sunday lunch and they were absolutely delicious….we have just had our first meal at The Whip and it is even better. Starter potted duck with port and smoked trout with horseradish cream. Fish &chips with curry sauce, the cod was so fresh! Venison casserole was rich and decadent. Finished off with sticky toffee pudding ( eaten before I remembered to take a picture- it was that good). Already booked for Easter Sunday. Well done to Ray and his new team, 👍 (to add, we had started eating our starter when I remembered to take a photo!!)

We went to the Whip after it recently reopened with a new chef and what an amazing surprise it was!! All the dishes were really tasty, top quality for a local pub! Staff was very welcoming and nice! Will definitly return soon and may quickly become regulars! Well done!

There is light at the end of the tunnel, the Whip is being refurbished and new management is coming in, very much looking forward to a positive change.

Visited this afternoon as we are moving into the area very soon. A lovely, friendly pub with great food and service. We look forward to making it one of our "locals!"Our two doggies were welcome too and enjoyed the garden.

Thursday nights haven't been the same without the Whip! It's so nice to see it open again after lockdown. The Friendly service, delicious proper pub grub and a great selection on tap is as brilliant as ever. Best pub in the Walters Ash and Naphill area by far and it's brilliantly placed for walks and bike rides if you need a break half way round! 👍

This was a welcome retreat to break up our rambling and stop for a quick pint. Nice pub with a view 🍺

Fathers day.....not too busy so we were wondering after 50 minutes why no food? Unfortunately the dishwasher had sprung a leek...and flooded kitchen...when the food came out it was amazing ...complimentary drinks and pudding was much appreciated! A different choice of potatoes would go down well ie jacket potatoes or saute also no vegetarian options....would visit again!
