Balloo House Bistro in Ards

Great food and great service, somewhat out of the way but worth the trip

Just returned home after a wonderful meal and experience at Balloo House with my family. Food was tremendous, service tremendous and the Staff so friendly and welcoming. Already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to all at Balloo House.

Loved it! Certainly not the cheapest place but worth the money.Staff are lovely, really welcoming and helpful. They were awesome.Food was delicious!We really enjoyed ourselves :)There are gluten free options available and even better, they have strict precautions when it comes with allergies. The server showed me a system they use for gluten free; they note it down on a special card for the kitchen where they then use a separate area. I couldn't have asked for anything better!

Everything was amazing one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Staff very friendly and helpful as well not one bad word to say.

Superb meal with the family at Balloo. Used to go all the time when I lived close by, but not been in maybe 15 years. Quite a change inside, but they've done a great job opening up a very old interior and keeping the atmosphere, even with table dividers for covid concerns. All of the food was excellent, from slow cooked lamb, salt-aged steak, fish and chips and whole plaice. Nice selection of wines and a great pint of Guinness.

Over all our dining experience was very good. My main course was cold, I told the staff and they dealt with it quickly. The side dishes were delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. The decor is beautiful.

Really lovely place, well worth a journey from Belfast! The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The cocktail menu was a little underwhelming and the seasonal specials that were advertised weren’t available, but the few that were on offer were nice.

A totally amazing dining experience. Historic and modern surroundings combine to make a unique, first class atmosphere. Excellent imaginative menu, exquisitely cooked dishes, great staff, fantastic wine list. Good selection of beers. Great coffee too.

Delicious food. Atmosphere is great too. 6 year old said it was 5 trillion billion million percent delicious.

Not our first time at Balloo House , but a first for me having Muscles, and not the last . Service good food good . Ill be back ....
