The staff are friendly and polite... The food is VERY tasty, the prices are reasonable and the location (with views onto the water) is lovely. It almost feels like you're eating on a boat which we loved. Thanks Suzie you are the perfect example of great customer service. Thanks again

Love going to Daft Eddy's. The views are spectacular. Great food. Good service. Always bunged on sunny weekends. Can be hard to get served at the bar on really busy days but if you have a table booked the service is always good.. Tables were meticulously cleaned while we there. Staff very friendly

Wonderful views, welcoming staff, one of the best cups of coffee for miles, great tray bakes and excellent gluten free and gluten low options. Wee Eddies is one of my all time favourite coffee stops. (Daft Eddies restaurant next door is just as good for food!)

Booked for a Table of 14 on Xmas Eve. Accommodated with no issues and the service was very good. The food came fairly quickly we ordered the scampi and burger and shared.scampi was the nicest I've tried in a long time and the burger was delicious. The kids menu is good too with plenty of good grub on offer. The prices are reasonable and there is also a nice bar and an additional small cafe type place out the front that cyclists tend to use to grab a coffee and a sausage roll. Worth the visit.

My first time at Daft Eddie’s and a wonderful experience it was. The restaurant sits just across a small causeway on Strangford Lough. The view from the restaurant was so relaxing looking out over the Lough at the boats The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. The restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The place was extremely clean and social distancing was taken seriously. A very enjoyable lunch very reason priced. I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend

Welcoming and friendly staff. Great range of dishes on the menu. Lots of variety for all tastes. When the tide is in, the view over the lough just adds to the occasion. Seafood dishes are a real treat.

Delightful spot for lunch. Good service, friendly and efficient. Broccoli & Stilton soup flavoursome and filling. Cod, crab fish cake deliciously done. We'll be returning!

The problem with these family run restaurants is incompetent family members that cannot be sacked, assuming this is the root of the problems we had. Problems we had are: too hot and stuffy inside no fresh air available in these covid times; wrong mains delivered twice, Incl item not on menu, chaotic service from different staff every time, staff spraying tables next to us eating (even my local chippy does not do this), poor presentation of our food, thick poorly made pear and almond tart base, and pvc uncomfortable seating. The seating layout fails to take advantage of the views with only those seated opposite able to see, side oriented tables would afford a view to all. A real culinary low on our visit to the area. The manager did not seem to have much grip on what was going on and shouted to us through his mask that someone will take our order. Will not be back.

What a beautiful part of the world, certainly a hidden gem of the countryside this island is. The bar/restaurant are fantastically placed so you'll get an amazing view over the lough. The food is top notch bar food, wouldn't quite call it restaurant food, but it is perfect for what it is and where it is. Beers are good, staff are friendly and certainly worth booking ahead.Dogs and kids were welcome and numerous, a lovely mix of people when we were there. Will be back again.
