J&R's Grill in Ards

The food was good but a wait for serving.The fried catfish is small which was a disappointment.

Wonderful Mexican burger and onion rings were perfect, not greasy and very crunchy! Everything fresh and presented like an old time burger. Clean dining room, friendly staff and so delicious, try it!!

Jr's is a nice clean place, friendly Wait staff, really good food and homemade rolls that are fantastic. If you're in the area they make a great breakfast and great lunch they have specials everywhere the week. If you want I really good meal then stop by Juniors.

This place was recommended and they were right.Had an excellent burger with bacon, Jack cheese and avocado. Will probably need another one next week or try breakfast. Clean, with alert staff. Do yourself a favor and try it too.

Visited this past Sunday because my usual breakfast spot was also busy with a long hour wait. Was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful little cafe that’s been around for ages. Chicken fried steak (I’ve been here before breakfast is free at as well) was awesome but, the staff was a bit overwhelmed by the crowds of the first beautiful spring day we’ve had. Food here is great, might even run into “friends” like I did last Sunday.

I had the grilled chicken plate with okra and fruit. The chicken was a large portion for the price...2 breasts and it had a really good seasoning on it. Husband had the burger and fries and he said he liked that the butger was not greasy. Cute little place!

I have driven past JR's Cafe for many years, but had never stopped in for a meal. A friend told me about this cafe after reading the reviews. About two months ago, I stopped in one morning for breakfast and I am very glad I did! Since that time, I have had about 4-5 breakfast meals and 2 lunches. Every breakfast meal I have had has been outstanding! So too, the lunches. Their Chicken Fried Steak is some of the best I have ever had! This cafe is very clean and the Staff is wonderful! I cannot believe I have gone so many years without trying JR's. If you are looking for great home cooked meals in a very clean and friendly environment, the give JR's a try. You will be glad you did.

Super friendly neighborhood feel. Got a hickory burger and tots, (recommended over fries). Burger was delicious. Esp the Carmelized onions. Tots were fantastic. Next time I'm in area, I will eat here.

Me and my friend got the same thing, the chicken friend chicken breakfast: it was a ton of food, only cost of 10$ and some change and it was delicious. My friend likes his eggs a very particular style and gave them a complicated order and they did it right. I just had egg whites and overall nothing to complain about.It’s a local good eating, reasonably priced joint. It looks like a whole in the wall but like most hole in the walls if you actually get the courage to go in you’re going to be very pleasantly surprised. I’ll definitely be back and recommend trying it at least once. It’s a classic old school cafe but it does it very well.

Such a good little place. Food is made to order and just like you like it. I meant to get a picture of my breakfast tacos but I ate them so fast I didn't get a chance. It was a table full of happy plates.🤣
