Lekker Kitchen Cafe in Ards

One of the most delicious brunches I've had. Gluten free Dutch pancakes with bacon, egg & cheese was fab. Gluten free brownies too so a win win. Staff super friendly and so so helpful with my dietary restrictions. Felt so welcome and returned the next day it was so good. See you all again soon 😊👌😋

Good spot for nice coffee and some delicious savoury treats. Outdoor area is perfect for dog owners, but had to call up in advance to check as no real mention online of a dog friendly venue. Very pleased we did check though. Having this more publicised or just a water bowl outside would be beneficial.

2nd time i have been and will definitely visit again. The pancakes are amazing and great service from the staff . I will be taking my friends there . !

Fantastic place, took mum there for brunch on mothers day and we both had a savoury pancake. It was absolutely delicious, the cafe is bright and airy with cheerful decor and they have done lovely locally made items for sale such as granola and artisan peanut butter. We can't wait to return and bring dad too.

We read plenty of good reviews about this place so decided to travel here for lunch - unfortunately when we arrived we were promptly told that only tea/coffee could be served, as the kitchen had now closed. We enquired (for future reference) what time it closed at, only to find out we were literally a few minutes past their kitchen closing time - we explained that we had travelled quite some distance to go to their cafe, and would have appreciated even cold food or whatever was available, however we were told no. So we had coffee then left.The coffee was fine, but, I would have appreciated if the staff would have helped us more, as although we were past their kitchen closing time this was literally just a few minutes, we had also travelled so far to go there - I don’t think it would have inconvenienced them too much to prepare a basic sandwich or whatever food they had left; this could have been done very quickly. But unfortunately not helping us has left a lasting impression, so, I won’t be back.** Further edit ** The reply below from the owner really confirms my opinion. Instead of comprehending the issue with the review - a lack of courtesy from staff and complete lack of leeway for the sake of literally a few minutes - the owner is quick to say this is my fault - instead of blaming customers perhaps talking to them might help. In any case - I definitely won’t be back at this place!! Anyone considering visiting please ensure you’re on time otherwise the owner won’t be happy with you…adios Lekker - you won’t get another penny of my money.

First time in lekkers and it was excellent- nice place , good atmosphere with delicious food - I got the bittenballs with chips -something different and was superb. Will definitely be back

The Lekker Kitchen Cafe offers a whole host of culinary delights.From its monthly guest coffee from a local roaster, to the best cinnamon scone experience you will ever have. The local food offering is fused with lots of traditional Dutch treats. You really must try Dutch Pannenkoek. If you are vegetarian or gluten free, the staff will be happy to guide you to an informed choice.Sunday breakfast club is popular & rightfully so, specials & guest plates from Ron are inspired. Get there early.An amazing gem in the heart of Greyabbey & the Ard's Peninsula.
