The Cod Father in Ards

The fish here never disappoints and the steakettes have to be recommended. The shop has to be commended too for giving out 'free' chips when you order a single item. As everything is cooked to order you will have to wait but it ensures the food is fresh and hot and that's what it's all about.

Best chippy I have ever got from the food is unreal and portion size is great!

Unreal valve, lunch time special £3.80 for a mountainous load of chips, 2 massive sausages and a 500ml drink. Best chippy in Ards!!!

This is a clean and friendly establishment. I noted that they have temperature probes for the food etc. The portions were large and the fish freshly battered as opposed to being pre done and refried.

Excellent takeaway. Ordered for collection and my order was ready on arrival. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Generous portion size and very tasty - would recommend.

Got a fish supper and ended up with food poisoning. Definitely will not be ordering from here again. Avoid at all costs

The food is cooked to order. And the Tuesday deal on 2 fish suppers for £10 suits us fine. Never had a bad meal from The Cod Father. It also has 5 stars on the food hygiene ratings.

I use this chip shop on a regular basis. The fish is cooked fresh and the batter is crispy and crunchy not gooey. I do wish they would stay open later. A take away menu would be a bonus.

I am very unhappy with my order. the batter was burnt and the chips were very greasy the cheese was not melted on my chips and this is not the first time this has happened. I would not recommend this chippy to anyone. if you like burnt greasy food then the codfather is the place to be. very unhappy😑😑😑
