The Lighthouse Bar and Grill in Ards

Wasn't overly impressed with the food, seafood chowder was the best of itthe rest was just ok and a very bad smell in the restaurant

Had a great second meal at the lighthouse bar and grill. We were served by an extremely friend lady called faith, her service was first class. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

We ate here on the 2nd of July, We have eaten her before but this time it was very disappointing. Due to my food allergies the items I could have were very limiting, Im allergic to Dairy and Egg, I had hoped I could have the battered fish but was told that this comes in ready battered so wouldn’t be suitable, I then chose the braised feather blade but was told I could only have it without the gravy which left me wondering what it is braised in or perhaps it one of those cook in the bag things that come in ready done with gravy added after so that wasn’t suitable either, I then opted for the rump steak but was told that the onions came in in butter and the mushrooms were cooked in butter and I couldn’t have onion rings either. I asked if perhaps someone could fry me some separate mushrooms and onions but again was told they all had butter added ( next time shall I bring an onion and perhaps a knife too) on my last visit none of these were a problem, the kitchen were even able to do onion rings and even fry me some onion in oil not butter, things must have changed dramatically. My plate consisted of steak which was cooked as requested Medium rare, 2 florets of steamed broccoli and 2 florets of cauliflower and a portion of oven chips. My friend ordered the ribeye of the special menu and said it was a poor steak. The 2 other meals were acceptable. I can report that the Vegan chocolate puddings with ice cream were delicious and now I can say thank goodness it was bought in or yet again I wouldn’t have been able to have it due to possible kitchen contamination. Our friends live local and go here often, they have since said that it will be their last visit. The best part about the whole evening was the fantastic company and the view from the window however I could have had both of those experiences sat on the wall outside with a pre made sandwich from the Coop. 2 stars for its location and view don't know what has changed since I visited 8 months ago as it was a 5 star then

A good menu with plenty of choice including vegan options ✔️. Generous portions, very pleasant staff and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back.

we absolutely loved our trip to the lighthouse bar and grill!! the food was delicious, my partner and I cannot wait to come back and try more of your menu. The staff were so friendly and lovely and took really good care of us and our little dog who really enjoyed her trip to the lighthouse too and the sausages she was gifted! thank you so much again

I've eaten here a couple of times now and the food has been excellent! The first time I had steak as part of the steak night deal which was delicious and I had the chicken stack during my last visit which was also great. My girlfriend and family have also thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Just had our second night here for steak night, 2 steaks 2 sides 2 sauces and wine for under £40 and it is incredible.The steaks are rump steaks but taste better than any fillet I've ever had and they are massive.The sides, sauces and wine are great too.The staff are all lovely and we had two cocktails to start, I can highly recommend the zombie but maybe not too many 😁😵‍💫We will definitely be back many times, great restaurant that will hopefully be around for a long time.

Food and service was outstanding as usual.Doesn't surprise me to hear that they have just won the award for The Most Outstanding Bar & Restaurant in County Down
