Had a lovely breakfast/brunch here today. We had eggs benedict and croque monsieur. We shared it between two of us as we couldn't decide which breakfast we wanted. It was delicious, loved it, both dishes were fantastic. And their flat whites were lovely too.

Visited on Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. First visit since Covid restrictions lifted. Glad to see no downturn on the standard of food or service. The chicken and chilli pasta dish was a delight to the palate and my guest thoroughly enjoyed her chilli chicken skewers with chips. Neither dish was too hot (re chilli) that it overwhelms the other flavours. The desert menu is short and somewhat basic. However the meringue pie was enjoyed by the guest and looked enticing on the plate. I took some scones home with me, specific request from a daughter, who declared them "just what she wanted". Definitely a place for an enjoyable and tasty lunch. 2 coffees, main courses, scones, 1 desert, glass of tap water and a 7 Up cost £45. So decide for yourself if that's within your budget.

We had an excellent evening at Salt Kitchen. It was our first time at the restaurant and went for the Seafood Experience which was outstanding. A large platter of lobster and other shellfish that was cooked to perfection. The service from the staff was outstanding - polite, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Good food good service and the kids menu was good value. Unfortunately the main door was left off the latch allowing a cold January wind to blow straight in our direction, making the whole experience uncomfortably cold. I deducted a star for this and would have deducted two had it not been for the mitigation of Covid's ventilation advice. Someone needs to adjust the spring tension on the front door hinge so that the door closes properly in the face of a stiff wind which is nearly always present in that location and strengthened by wind-tunnel effect of the whole shape and structure of the building.

They had some nice sounding veggie options but I ended up getting the vegetarian option of the curry. Honestly I'm appalled by it. I wouldn't call it a vegetable curry when there was nothing in it except onion and pepper. There were 2 slices of mushroom as well. Shocking. Also the rice was a tiny spoonful, ended up leaving 3/4 of the curry as there was no more rice left. Also didn't receive the Naan or rice crackers that were meant to come with it..

I'm a bit new to the area, so difficult to judge against the other local restaurants. The service was a bit shoddy. We bought two coffee's and a hot chocolate and were given 2 sugars and one teaspoon. We were given an Ulster Fry which was not overly excessive but yet felt slightly pretentious. Overall, not bad, but also not great.

Food was 1st class. Lovely atmosphere & very friendly staff. Our daughter didn't like the kids pasta dish & they changed it to pizza FOC. Tomato & basil soup best I've tasted

What can be said except... perfection. The food was amazing, good portion size and presentation was good. The front of house staff where friendly and quick to have us seated. The food arrived in a good time....there really was nothing to complain about....price was good as well. If I could give it more than 5stars I would. Do yourself a favour and go try out this place....and good menu choices as well. Something for everyone.

Excellent service, staff were brilliant, our second time to visit, if you have special requirements as we did they cater for your needs. They gave alternate menu and understood our needs. Will be back again.
