Where is Airfield Farm?
🏠 Airfield Estate, Overend Ave, Dublin 14, D14 W2F2, Ireland
"Our dining experience at Airfield is inspired by the visionary Overend Sisters and the 38 acre farm that they entrusted us with to produce honest, great tasting food. We believe the best food is wholesome, seasonal and sustainably produced. Our ingredients are thoughtfully sourced with milk, meat, fruit, veg and eggs coming from the Estate and a few local suppliers such as Higgins Sausages, Leinster Honey, McCabes Coffee and Gubeen Farmhouse. Overends is a place where we connect land and table, farmer and eater in an environment that is casual and engaging. Our culinary lead, Luke Matthews alongside our talented kitchen team bring the Airfield Estate food ethos – GLAS to life."

The offer on the menu is not big, (that's why I am giving 4 stars!) but the food is really great, well cooked and served. Also the kid menu is quite good. The place and the staff are lovely, we really had good time!

Beautiful sunny back patio and incredible food! It’s so apparent that the menu is developed with care and the food is prepared thoughtfully. It felt like a special meal. Paired with a nice walk through Airfield it was a perfect day.

Best food in Dundrum! I go there quite often for lunch or brunch and the food is always delicious. They source most of their ingredients from their gardens which makes this place like no other in Dublin. Photo is from sea food fresh pasta dish that was to die for.

The food was of exceptional quality and so was the service. The menu was lacking a kids option and it was a short menu. The food was very fresh since the produce was straight from the airfield estate. Enjoy the time there. Can get pretty noisy when it is full.

Disappointment, an awful shame that such a amazing property isn't consistently good as it used to be.I booked it mentioning there would be a birthday. As we entered I was told that they would surprise us with a cake and we were delighted with that. On ordering we were told we had to choose our desserts as the kitchen was closing ( why accept a booking at a specific time if kitchen closing?). We received our starter soups and had to ask for spoons after a few minutes waiting. A few moments after we finished our starters the waiter asked us whether we would like tea or coffee (as if we had finished our main courses) and we told her that we hadn't received our main courses. After a while the mains arrived served with some potatoes ends ( burnt to a crisp). We couldn't eat fast enough apparently as they stood by to try to lift our plates. Meanwhile, a waiter sat beside us polishing cutlery which made us feel even more that we were holding things up. We ordered some coffees and waited for the cake, but it never arrived andwe left without mentioning it as we were told by the waiter that table service was closing. This overall was a big disappointment especially as there was a birthday and this is where they really wanted to go.

The cafe premises & staff are lovely but the food is very poor quality and has no flavour and very expensive for lunch hour. Very poor choice on menu with no gluten free desert. The set menu does not work. This used to be one of my favourite places when the food was normal and good choices. The changes can't be blamed on COVID. I won't be back. What a pity.

Look it was nice but it was a plate in fierce want of a few rashers and charging an extra couple of euro for it when the breakfast was already €12.50 was a bit cheeky. The food tasted good, we had the mushrooms on toast with two poached eggs. It came out to us a bit lukewarm because the pitta wasn't toasted. To be fair if it had a few rashers throw in without getting out a second mortgage out from the bank I wouldn't have minded.
