From the moment we walked in, we were greated with a warm welcome from our waitress. Time was given to look through the menu, a speedy and efficient service followed and our food arrived within an acceptable time from when our order was taken. Food excellent service fantastic and as we were leaving the owner Morgan came to the door to make sure everything was OK. NICE TOUCH

So looked forward to the start of the season for what was my favourite fish and chips. Fish batter was soft and mushy and chips were dry. So so disappointed and not cheap. Nearly £10 each to take away. Will have to find a new fav. 😢

Excellent smash burgers. I got the beef and bird burger - the southern fried chicken and homemade beef smash burger were both piping hot when it came out. Fresh brioche bun and melted cheese on top of the beef burger. The veg etc was very fresh too. Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Beef was incredibly tasty. Southern fried chicken pulled apart beautifully and the coating was so tasty. Will be thinking about it for quite some time!!

When did a portion of chips get so expensive!!?? They were tasty enough, but £3.30 for what was about the size of a small portion anywhere else! I'm sure it can be blamed on Brexit or COVID somehow!!

Food was delicious, good service. Was disappointed when faced with 4 goujons, but to be fair mixed with the garlic potatoes it was more than enough. Partner got the lasagna and couldn't finish it the portion size was plentiful. Also do alcohol as well so you can have a drink when eating. Not expensive either, same as what you'd expect to pay anywhere else for sit in food. Very clean place and very welcoming. Then out the door into Newcastle main street and onto the promenade to walk it off.

Visited on a Thursday Steak Night. My experience of special nights is a chance for the chefs to get rid of their old rubbish...but not here. I have travelled the world with work but truly believe that I had the best steak ever here last night (14 Oct 21). Cooked to perfection and ingeniously served on a wooden slate to rest until we were ready to transfer it to a pre-heated dinner plate. The sirloin was thickly cut, tender, delicious and nothing was left..no sinew, tough bit... nothing. Perfect. So two steaks, two sides to share, a bottle of wine and two starters for less than £30 a head. I really can't recommend this strongly enough. Sincerest complements to the kitchen staff and thanks also to the front staff who were lovely. Looking forward to the next time.

Without doubt one of the best fish and chips I've EVER had. And I've had a lot of them over the years ! Superb quality lightly battered fish ( I've had the cod and scampi - both amazing ! ) and beautiful fluffy crispy chips. Just found this absolute gem and will be making excuses to divert to it for lunch or dinner whenever I'm even vaguely near it ! Go try it - you most definitely won't regret it 🤤🤤🤤
