Millbrook Lodge Hotel in Down

I brought my Mum here yesterday for Afternoon Tea for the final bit of her birthday present.We had a lovely afternoon with beautiful, well presented food and lovely staff.Thank you for making it so enjoyable.

Met as a family - first time in 4 years and were treated so well by all the lovely staff. Met old friends and reacquainted ourselves with staff members we knew years ago.Food was lovely- big portions and atmosphere really friendly 😋

Bit disappointed, Sunday afternoon lunch. Starters and sweet good, disappointed in main course, roast beef v.good but veg. not great, Yorkshire Pud uneatable and complaint not dealth with.

We went to the Millbrook restaurant for my birthday, had not been in a few years. Got a 8oz flat iron with pepper sauce and chips. It was very tasty and I will definitely be back! Thanks

I was there with my family for my Grandsons Birthday we had a fantastic meal great menu to choose from 2 had steak which they commented on how good it was a few times through the meal all other meals were thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were very helpful and pleasant would definitely return.

I attended a family wedding last week at this hotel.The hotel and grounds were lovely.All the family said their bedrooms were really cold.Noone could get a shower because they didnt want to step out into a cold room.The dining room was cold and most people had their coats on all evening.some ladies putting coats on over their dresses until the music came on.Really small child portion size meals.Only one person serving behind the bar with over a hundred people in the venue.

Sunday dinner was delicious here.. A beautiful Hotel with great atmosphere and bright and Cheerful and seasonal decor

Service was a bit slow. As it was lunch time I would have expected it a bit punchier. There was little communication to let me know how long it would take or when I could expect my meal. I was nearly late to a funeral I was attending due to the waitThe food, a quiche, was nice but not a lot of it; about the diameter of a cup!However all that aside the staff were lovely. Very friendly.

Amazing staff, venue and atmosphere. Had my wedding here and honestly could not have been more smoother, easy and relaxed. Beautiful grounds, well organised. Great communication from the staff. Gerty, christine, chris and all the staff who made our day special thank you very much x

Attended a wedding at the Millbrook Lodge recently and I cannot recommend this venue enough.The setting was perfect, the accommodation was excellent, and the service was superb.The staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them.The hotel promoted social distancing and the hand sanitizing facilities were abundant and clearly sign posted. The staff adhered to the wearing of masks when serving which helped the guests feel safe.The food was delicious and the service at the meal was fast, unobtrusive and extremely professional and efficient.The setting was beautiful and the photographic opportunities were numerous.I am aware that the bride and groom were given ample opportunity to discuss their requirements at several meetings prior to the main event to ensure their wishes were being catered for. This meant that they had a personal relationship with the hotel management and this ensured that they were confident of support on the day which greatly reduced their stress level during their wedding day always an important facet at such times.The morning after breakfast for guests who stayed over was delicious. The food on offer was varied and again the service was excellent.The wedding date was unfortunately adversely affected by COVID-19 and throughout all the uncertainty of this time the Management of the hotel remained in close contact with the bride and groom working with them to reschedule the date to the best and most appropriate time.In conclusion I would definitely recommend this venue for its service, friendliness, efficiency and the quality of the accommodation. I listed it as a 5 Star venue and it truly lives up to this standard.
