First time visiting the Smugglers Table having been invited by friends for New Year's Eve. We were blown away by the service, the food, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff together with the overall ambience of the premises. I have been praising this ever since to friends. If there were more than 5 stars to give I would give it! Will definitely be back and would highly recommend anyone to visit. Julie and daff keep up the good work!

Had a great pint of Guinness here. Not entirely obvious that it's open from the street!

Found this place by accident, took a wrong turn in Killyleagh and saw a sign for the restaurant and thought, we'll give that a look. Glad we did, very good food and a friendly place as well.We had the Wagu Beefburger and Brill in a garlic sauce. A vary pleasant meal, everything tasted great!

Excellent wine, french, dry, chablis style but not the price tag.Delicious goats cheese and beetroot salad starter, the food was warm and full of flavour, the walnuts sweet and a good addition to the meal.Main course lamb, pink and full of flavour, vegetables well cooked and simply served but this made the flavour stand out. Moist and balanced flavours, a really good meal. Attractively served with care.Dessert apple crumble cream and custard, tart apple crumbly crumble! very little sugar which made the apple tart and delicious. Cheese and biscuit good assortment of three cheeses and crisp biscuits with seedless grapes. everything was room temp rather than fridge cold.On top of all of this I left my hand bag and Julie ( front of house) remembered where we were staying and appeared carrying my bag with keys in it to let us into accommodation, just as we were heading back!!. Totally above and beyond the service but what a decent lady.A great experience from a restaurant that deserves to be successful and supported by the local community.

Celebration of a friends birthday 17 of us and the service was faultless from Julie and staff - I’ve eaten in some top restaurants throughout the world and Roy (Chef) was spot on - The flavours of the fish of day was a absolute delight Monkfish in a delicate sauce (image 3) Lamb (4) steak cooked to perfection and the Strangford CrabCheeseboard and a Port to finish - Top draw

This exceptionally well run restaurant is a credit to Julie & Roy. I'm fortunate enough to live only a few miles away and take the opportunity to dine here whenever I can. It's true to say the food is always delightful. Well sourced, well prepared and well served. The highlight is more often than not, one of the fish dishes off the "specials" board. Last night I eagerly chose the lemon sole with shrimp, capers and samphire and can honestly say it was one of the finest fish courses I've ever had the pleasure of eating. A sumptuous treat.A big thank you to all the staff.

We stumbled across this place whilst out for a drive. The service was excellent. Julie, the waitress, is a credit to the establishment. Guinness was the best I've tasted for a long time. Seafood chowder was exceptional. We will definitely be back.

We didn't eat here as it was booked up but had a lovely pint of Guinness & promised ourselves a trip back to try the food as it had nice friendly staff, great easy atmosphere in a superb setting...

This place is a hidden gem. Loved the decor, staff were amazing and the food was delicious. Also got chatting to the owner Mervyn, great character he is. Be back again really soon. Dennis, Theresa and Darcy.
