Robert Stewarts in Lisburn

We booked for Sunday lunchtime. My partner had the steak and I the roast beef dinner. Both meals were beautiful. The table service was fabulous. An amazing dining experience. We will definitely be back. First class.

Food was very good. Staff very friendly. Perfect.

Went to Bob's as we hadn't been from it changed ownership, I had the 6oz burger with chips, the chips were hard as if they were under cooked, my wife had the full rack of ribs, the ribs were perfectly cooked but lacked any sort of flavour (no bbq sauce or rub of any kind) and the corn on the cob which came with it was stone cold. Always loved going to Bob Stewarts but the food is now mediocre which is a real shame. Maybe we got it on a bad day but it was 16:30 on a Friday and not exactly busy. Don't think I'll rush back.

Amazing pub, though overpriced in my opinion, and the beer selection is a little dismal. Craving something new and interesting. Guest ales would be a huge bonus here.

Magnific pub and bar, food service and cuality freshness exelent service and very welcoming. Recommended and the best of all it's 400years old with lot's of character

It's the first time I have been here, having driven past it many times over the last 40 years. I used to visit the now defunct Homestead pub around the corner but never quite got to try Robert Stewart's, until now.Having read some poor reviews on TripAdvisor, we didn't know what to expect. I can only guess that those people were at a different pub from the one I was at. This is COVID Christmas no.2 and I don't get out much but I would have to try very hard to find fault with either the food, or the service.All COVID passports were checked on entrance. Sanitizer was available inside and a contact sheet available for those who cared to leave their details.The restaurant was busy for a Monday night, but each of the servers that looked after us, were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. All of our food was excellent and I look forward to many more visits here. I had duck starter, turkey and ham main and jam and coconut sponge. All of it was excellent. Okay, I would have liked another spoonful of custard, but that's me trying to be picky.A great night was had and I look forward to returning.

4 of us had evening meal on wed evening. Husband and I shared a 10oz steak....was full of fat and could hardly cut it. Friend had curry and ate only a few spoonfuls..not goo We told waitress who said 'oh sorry'. No further apology was made or even a free coffee offered. Def not go back again as food was expensive and not good

I have never experienced anything like that in my life. The beer garden is perfect and welcoming, when we went inside for food it was like walking into a different establishment. Every member of staff outside was wearing mask, and inside no one was, which I don’t understand. Wasn’t a big deal to me just strange. The girl with the fringe (Claire I think) needs to reconsider her career choice, as in working with the public, because everything that was asked for, which was very little, was like asking for an organ. My girlfriend asked for a side of ketchup and the waitress actually sighed, rolled her eyes and grunted. Maybe she was having a bad day, but basic manners are free. We ordered the steak sandwich and the scampi. it was 3pm and neither of us had eaten all day and neither of us could find the insides to finish. I flipped the steak sandwich over and half the bread fell off because the ‘onion jam’ was cremated. Still looking for the ‘Mayo’ that was described in the menu. It was the dryest thing I have ever tried to eat. The onions rings must have been 10x dipped in oil. My girlfriend said the scampi was dry, but I did not try as I was trying to digest the over cooked dry ‘steak’. At least the chips were edible. The waitress when collecting plate, not Claire thankfully, asked how everything was. I said terrible. The guy in the red shirt (maybe manager) offered to take the scampi off the bill, it wasn’t even what I, the person who said terrible, had ordered. I I insisted I pay. I still have the burnt taste in my mouth. Word of advice don’t give this establishment the benefit of the doubt and trust the reviews.I have been all over the world and never had worse service or food in my life. If I hadnt seen such bad reviews of the owner I would have complained but what’s the point. Lesson learnt

An unexpected surprise. I found a booking on a busy weekend in Belfast. It’s well outside the city center in a beautiful area. The food is excellent; I had a very tasty steak with a pint of Guinness and finished with a delicious Irish coffee. They also have an outdoor beer garden. I’d highly recommend and would definitely go back

What amazing place! Tucked in off the road and could easily be missed BUT DONT miss it! The seared scallops were better than anything I've eaten before even in Cape Cod. The Pork Chop dish was spectacular..we will most definitely be back! The owner took time out to sit down for some banter with us (he's an elvis fan) that just doesnt happen anymore!
