Went for a late afternoon birthday lunch. Our Waitress (tint of red and black in hair sorry didn't get her name) was brilliant. Very attentive and hates seeing beer go to waste ;-). Excellent food and very large portions. the Mussels starter portion was bigger than i've seen elsewhere as a main. Top Food Top Service in an warm and friendly atmosphere. We will certainly be back

We took our family there for Christmas Dinner this evening (24th)The 3 course meal was delicious, generous portions and incredible value for the small price asked. Service very friendly yet professional and all Covid prevention methods strictly applied. Can't fault this fine establishment and will be returning ASAP

Amazing Food. Service was Great. Defo will be back! Just would recommend they bring in a cleaner to give the place a good dust and take the dead bugs out of the overhead lights.

We had off the Christmas lunch menu, 3 course for £20 and worth every penny. Good food (baileys cheesecake was yummy) and good service

I love the food in this restaurant it's top class!! I got the green tai vegetable curry it was absolutely delicious. It was too hot, there more of a coconut taste to it. It's lovely I will definitely get it again. Thank you for a lovely mean and great service The Jamaican Inn. The place is nice and clean as well, they take hygiene very seriously which is always nice to see. A well deserved 5 stars!!

Hadn't been in this establishment in many years even though I live in the town.I booked lunch in advance and arrived before time, but was quickly shown to my table. The service was efficient and friendly and the menu was adequate. We both dispensed with starters and went for the main event and ordered ribeye steaks with our own selection of garnish, sauce, and vegetables. The food was to say the least delightful. Beautifully cooked and presented, and the portions were good. After the plates were cleared we were offered dessert and although we were stuffed decided to try the sticky toffee pudding and the Ferrero Rochet cheesecake, and what a treat. Sampling each others the plates were soon emptied. There was just no room left for tea or coffee, and we left two very satisfied customers.Along with 2 mains, and 2 desserts, we had 2 glasses of wine, and I had 2 coke. The bill came to around £80 and while it might seem a bit pricy, the setting, service, and quality of the food, to say nothing of portion size, made it feel like money well spent. Highly recommended.

Our first visit was last night and we’ll definitely be back. The staff were all professional, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and, as a added bonus, made a fuss over our wee 7 month old Yorkie puppy. The food was delicious, well presented and the portion sizes were all very generous. We had to triple check the bill as thought they’d undercharged us, which wasn’t the case.I’d thoroughly recommend this place for the food, service and ambiance.

Had a wonderful experience here, food was excellent and staff were very attentive and really knew the menu had first hand experience of what tasted good and what was in it. Really nice vibe. The food was good, I loved the muscles and the tart the best!Sorry I didn’t post pictures of dessert as the wine selection was also very good and I forgot!

Vibrant flavoursome food by the sea.The Jamaica Inn is located a 10 minute walk along the coast from Bangor Marina and is close to Ballyholme beach. There is on street parking close to the restaurant.Tables can be reserved for inside dining but the 16 outdoor tables are available on a first come first served basis. The outside area is dog friendly. There are fantastic views from the seated area over Belfast Lough. When we arrived; although there were at least two tables available we were not greeted or seated for almost 10 minutes. We seen 5 different waiting staff before one came to speak with us.Once inside the service was efficient and friendly. There is a wide menu catering for all types of tastes although we had expected a few more Caribbean inspired dishes. The Jamaica Inn menu is available on their website. The food is top quality, the portions sufficient for even the very hungry diner and the prices very reasonable. This was our first visit and we will definitely return if we are staying in the area again.

Came here for friends birthday. The table booking service were easy, however our tables were split into two separating us.Food portion size is very good, we got very full with just the mains, didn't order starter and had no space for desert. The gin and tonic was very good, tasty! The chips here are thick and very good. The ribs and chicken were very filling and favourable.
