First time there since reopen - food was fabulous. Went back a second time - not so good. Still nice enough but maybe just menu choices? Specials were really good. Others off standard menu were a bit pub grub but tasty enough.

We booked the carvery and were not disappointed. The starters were all delicious making it hard to choose or just have a few of each :) The meats carved for the main course also excellent complete with the usual well cooked sides, portions as big or small as you want. Deserts also very good. We will be back (with elasticated trousers and no belt) next time. Recommend.

Food selection good. Had an issue with cold main but issue resolved easy enough. Atmosphere good if a bit empty . Environment slightly dated but clean and homely. Would definitely recommend for families and lunch menu excellent.

You'll not be disappointed with the service and food at The Stables, it's first class! I've always looked forward to a bit to eat or a cheeky cocktail here.It has changed hands a few times over the years, and is currently undergoing some external renovations to the roof of the conservatory (which is lovely to sit in).

First visit to The Stables & certainly wont be my last.Atmosphere is warm & inviting.The staff are very knowledgable interactive attentive & truly care for there customers.The food is outstanding beautifully presented real hearty portions & bursting with flavour! really talented bunch of chefs i highly recommend this little gem in Groomsport.(its worth the travel)

We went here today for Christmas day meal. It was amazing the food was beautiful and the staff couldn't do enough to help. My son took covid 2 days ago so we had to cancel him and although they didn't have to offer us anything back they were willing to give him a £40 voucher which we were more than happy with. The owner spoke to us personally and told us to let him know when we would be returning and he would get us a great table organised. Now this man was very busy and didn't have to take time to speak at all but it made all the difference as his generosity and politeness and caring nature made us more than willing to support his business. So head to the stables you will not be disappointed.
