"Two old Victorian townhouses that have been beautifully transformed into a stunning boutique hotel overlooking Bangor’s Marina, Belfast Lough, the Irish Sea, and on to Scotland (on a clear day). A prefect retreat from everyday hustle and bustle. Friendly staff, gorgeous rooms and great food will make your stay a memorable one."

Extremely dog friendly and delicious food! Highly recommend the salt and chilli squid. Ordered it when I was there and it was so tasty. Will definitely order it again. Staff are lovely and it has a gorgeous view of the sea and the vibe is very relaxed and welcoming

Went with my wife and infant son for a meal - service was impeccable and the food (Seafood Rigatoni & Beef Burger) was wonderful. Large portions for a fair price. Venue is also dog friendly which makes it a very fun meal!

A nice surprise to find a dog friendly restaurant but that wasn't all. Friendly staff, chatty customers and only the nicest fish and chips in years sealed the deal. Thanks 😃

A Lovely little dog friendly place the rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and attentive!?! I was so sorry to hear that that people let them down at Christmas!?! I will be back!!

A fantastic Christmas Day lunch. Every course was delicious. Loved the little cup of cauliflower soup and then the sorbet between courses. Staff very welcoming and there was a lovely atmosphere. Well done to all at the Salty Dog. Highly recommend it and would love to have another Christmas Day there.HUGE SHAME ON THE NO SHOWS ON CHRISTMAS DAY. You have cost everybody, the owners staff and the public. Due to you retaurants close.Lets pay in advance

Average home cooked food, tasty enough. Comparable to home cooking yourself but a lot more expensive. Hefty price for a pretty ordinary lunch time meal. Little atmosphere the lunch time we were there. Probably good for a cuppa/drink and a snack or a morning breakfast. Did not feel it was value for money. Would not return.

Gone to the dogs.Visited the food truck on the 27th December, food was below average and tasteless. Fish and chips was amazingly both overcooked and greasy, chips were a husk of something that was possibly once a potato. Not worth the trip.

We stayed two nights in early November. Staff is very friendly, The hotel can be described as eclectic, the views are spectacular. We all agree we would stay again

Butternut squash risotto was it bit bland. Was gutted. I wondered if any staff have tasted it to see what they think? There weren't many veggie options.Staff were really friendly though and my friend enjoyed her salmon dish
