Church St Fish Bar in Blaenau Gwent

My son had large fish small chips and sausage he said was one of the best he's had that's certainly a complement from him

Everytime I come, they've always cooked fresh food, chips are lovely, staff are very friendly, probably my favorite chippy in abertillery 👍

1st time ordering as heard good things arrived frezzing cold way to much salt on the chips and everything was slapped together very poor service will definitely not order from here again

Food is always amazing and the staff are great only thing that let's them down is the delivery option both times we've tried it it's been an issue fully recommended this place just go pick it up !Thought I'd give them another go been over an hour for delivery phone the shop to be told it will be after the ne t delivery 🤷‍♂️ really give up

First time of trying here as not long moved to the area and WOW the food was fantastic, a large chips was enough to feed four people, and the small fish was was cooked perfectly and an ideal portion. Also had a curry sauce which was delicious. Some sauces are watery, really thick or just taste spicy. This was a perfect accompaniment to the meal, will definitely return. Staff were friendly and staff and store were covid compliant. 10 out of 10

Food is at very high standard, mostly have food delivered but last week my daughter popped into chip shop, she said staff are so helpful & friendly nothing was 2 much for them, wont go anywhere else now

All the food is to a very high standard and they still manage to keep one eye on the environment by using cardboard boxes and paper cups rather than polystyrene.For me this is the best chippy in the area and probably top 5 in Wales for the food

Freshly cooked fish as you wait, very nice too with a generous portion of chips to go with it. Nice chatty friendly staff and reasonably priced

Friendly staff and quick service, and handy to home. Lovely fish, but the chips would benefit from a bit longer in the fryer. Next time we'll ask to have them double cooked. Would LOVE them to provide gluten free fish batter. X

Was looking forward to this all day after seeing picture on the right. Drove completely out of my way to come and get food here to get home to pic on the left :( Hardly any chips and hardly any curry with about 3 tiny pieces of chicken. There were more chips on the £1.60 small chips my kids had! Wouldn't of bothered me so much as food did taste nice and kids enjoyed their sausage and chips, but then checked prices and realised I payed £4.60 for this 😮 Was disappointed after reading all the good reviews.
