Glyncoed Fish Shop in Blaenau Gwent

Ordered via Just Eat and money taken but had no order confirmation. So rang the restaurant to be told ‘we don’t do just eat’ well why is the menu on there then? And why was money taken? When asked when will the money be back we were bluntly told ‘money back now’ and when checking the bank the man hung up the phone on us!!Disgusting customer service and blatantly lying to potential customers is not a good way to run any business. Won’t ever be ordering again.

Not really to my liking but will use it as a second choice

Fantastic fish and chips can’t fault them always cooked fresh. And their chilli cheese bits are to die for. Always have a lovely friendly service .Don’t change a thingAnd so pleased to see that you now have received your hygene rating and very good **** 4 stars well done

Stay away!! This fish shop use to be one of the best about, as gone down hill since new ownership. Chips tasted like they had been re-warmed and the scampi was overcooked and tasted horrible. Front of shop area was in a terrible mess, bits all over the floor. No wonder it's only got a 1 star hygiene rating and that's from last year, still awaiting the new results!

Good chips however giving children less chips than adults 🤨 I ordered a small chips for me and my sibling and we got around 9 chips? For £1.90? Come on that's ridiculous!

What can I say about a takeaway? Covid secure measures in place. The man who served me didn't really listen to my order because he was on the phone and I had to repeat myself twice but overall the food was enjoyable.

Been a while since I last visited and I have a feeling it has changed ownership. They were the best fish and chips around, but I was disappointed with the chips. Although the portion size was good, they just didn't seem fresh and some were dried up. The fish was very good. Good size and nicely cooked. Will try again in the hope the chips will better.

Will not be going back. The man serving cannot understand what you are saying and my daughter couldn't understand him. Only wanted 3 small chips 2 with gravy and 1 with cheese he kept trying to give her curry then sausages. I was outside with the children and had to go in and tell him he'd overcharged her. Ended up paying 3.90 for cheese and xhios. Keep away.

Quality of food today was unbeatable. Pie was hard and overcooked, curry sauce was watered down and tasteless. Wont be going back. Just seen 1 star cleanliness rated by coucil

The fish was fried while you waited it was very nice, the chips were not so nice at all.
