Great food, good portions, but don't expect cheap as chips

Always get my fish and chips here, nicely cooked, not bad price. I also get chicken kebab here too. Love the taste of it, Tandori taste. I would say my opinion best around area.

Quite possibly the worst batter on a cod I have ever tasted. The fish itself and chups were great, but the batter, omg, foul, solid, dirty oil. Mouth felt like i had drank a frying pan after 1 bite. Change your oil!!!

I come here quite often. The last time was for their own Chicken Madras. On my first bite, I was thinking 'It's ok, but nothing special'... then my mouth exploded!!The Madras was so tasty and my lips were still tingling 20 minutes after I'd finished!My intention was to go back for the Vindaloo. I think I'd better get used to the Madras first! Definitely going back for more.I've had a few different dishes from the Rassau Fish Bar and I've never been disappointed. The staff(owners?) have been friendly... even when you can see they've obviously had enough 😁The only thing that let them down when I first started going to them, was their chips, but they've sorted those out as well.I live right beside the other Rassau chippy, but I'd go without if the Rassau Fish Bar was shut.

I used to use this chippy often always good. BUT I called in this evening for fish and chips. While the chips were ok the fish had obviously been reheated from probably lunch time and was soggy and dripping in oil. Went straight in the bin. Had it of been earlier in the day I would have taken it backOk please do not insult my intelligence. I do NOT have the wrong place and secondly having worked in the industry myself in the past I know freshly cooked fish from stuff that has been reheated
