I was reluctant to write this but having drove out of my way to eat here I felt I had to. It was Friday afternoon and my daughter and I came here for lunch. There were two tables in the restaurant so it wasn’t particularly busy. My daughters vegetarian curry was totally inedible , it consisted of curry paste, water aubergine and corgettes, the waitress did check us and ask if I wanted something else as I told her that the curry was inedible , but my daughter had polished off the chips and Nan bread so wasn’t happy with a replacement. The both waitresses behaviour I found hard to comprehend as they were singing loudly behind the bar, singing over the music, turning the volume up if they liked a song skipping songs and basically behaving unprofessional in front of me the paying customer. I paid £50 for an experience I wish not to endure again and wasn’t offered a free drink dessert or any type of compensation for the food I paid for which I wasn’t happy with, which having worked in hospitality for over 10 years would be the norm. Such a shame as this used to be our favourite place.

Just love this little place. Plenty of parking space. Staff friendly and helpfull Just called in for a quick lunch. My food was great. Seabass on a bed of broad bean risotto.

I visited this place about 3-4 yrs back and it was ok as a restaurant then, but nothing out of the ordinary. Have been back twice in last month or so with two separate groups of 4 people and it's now a great place to eat, and each person in the groups thought so too. Food cooked to perfection, feel-good vibe, and wonderful waitress/bar staff & service.

Excellent food - top quality and plenty of it. Friendly service too, and prices are fair. Definitely a dining pub, but there is a quiet bar to the side if you just want a drink, and the ale is kept very well. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Lovely food and staff were very friendly and helpful. We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon and hadn't booked a table but they were happy to accommodate us.
