Lotus House Takeaway in Bridgend

Went here for the first time as Broadlands Chinese was closed, without a doubt the worse Chinese I've ever had! First and last time eating here

The food smelled lovely but that's as good as it got. The yung chow fried rice was stodgy (not a nice texture) and while there was a small amount of chicken and prawns in it, there were also quite a few big chunks of what can only be described as processed ham (it's meant to be pork). The salt and chilli chips were overcooked, hard (as opposed to crispy) and very dry. The meal went in the bin. I won't be revisiting.

Always lovely fresh hot and tasty food, one of the best Chinese takeaways in Bridgend, highly recommended.

Rice was slightly mushy but ok, beef in satay sauce tasted more like a rather bland gravy but with very tough beef (no peanut flavour whatsoever) and the lemon chicken tasted more like weak orange squash. Not a fan I'm afraid. On the plus side fast delivery and arrived piping hot.

Tried most Chinese takeaways in bridgend but new lotus beats every other by a mile. Delicious!

Always had a great meal from here. My partner is veggie due to allergies he adores the salt and chilli chips and they cater for all veggies. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. We also like our delivery man 'Cup' who always looks after us great guy

Have always eaten here but disappointed this week to find that my beloved crispy beef in chilli sauce has gone. :(
