Royal oak porthcawl in Bridgend

Really good value for money and the food is very good, I had liver and bacon and my partner had the home made pie 🥧 staff were amazing and I ended up staying a lot longer than I was supposed to stay, definitely be going back

Nice pub with friendly staff but our food order was a bit hit and miss. 2 16oz rump steaks that should have been medium rare but turned up blue (very rare) and the onion rings went to another table.

Visited the Royal Oak pub today, with my partner. We received a stupendous welcome. Extremely helpful and welcoming.We ordered a gammon and a pulled pork burger. The food was amazing, delicious and reasonably priced.The pub was spotless and the staff were fantastic.Definitely return and highly recommend 👌

Popped in for lunch yesterday, food was delicious big portions. Old style pub which we love, will definitely recommend and planning our next visit very soon

My first visit to this pub was, unfortunately, for a wake after a good friends funeral recently. However, the staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and empathetic. My friend was a regular there. They supplied food which was displayed as good as it tasted. I don't know how we all fitted in but we were ALL made to feel welcome. Thank you

This pub is vile! Me and a few family members visited for food, the food was brought to us swimming in Grease we ordered 6 mixed grills everyone of them came out the same way even The chips were green. When We sent our food back as it was inedible the landlord came over and began to tell me that I was wrong the food was fine and tried to say it was done on the grill which was nonsense. He then asked us to leave the pub which was really bad. Save your money the food is horrible and the landlord is rude and acts like your the problem

Went for lunch had the steak pie. It was a lovely meal and even gave us a jug of gravy. My mother had ham egg and chips ham good quality. The only thing I would have liked was pie to be hotter. Will be returning and would recommend 👌

Sunday lunch is very good, and tasty, nice and hot ,plenty of food. All cooked very well, very good price. The home made white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake is so delicious, was devastated that I was too full to eat it all. Would highly recommend visiting the Royal oak staff are so friendly and helpful, well done to you all

Absolutely brilliant the food, the service but best bit is the value you can't get better value for money. See photo £5.95 7oz rump steak with all those trimmings don't know how they make any money. Its a must go to place if in or around Porthcawl
