Seagull Inn in Bridgend

Lovely pub, good food, Rev James on tap, Brains bitter, a nice IPA as well, even lager, staff very friendly and quick service. Tidy seating area outside, bit of a sun trap for the sun worshippers.

Had a waiting time of 45mins for food but that was OK as was told when ordering food ,had food I had hairs on my chips noone came to check if everything was OK

Went for a family meal as visitors to Porthcawl...staff were really friendly and efficient and the food was very good. Would definitely go again.

So. We went back persuaded by a goodwill gesture. Bit unfair comparison as the original meal below was a Friday night we went back on a Wednesday at 4pm. My fault only time we could go.The food was GOOD but if the chef couldn’t have cooked a decent meal for the only people eating in the pub there would have been a problem so I’ve changed my rating to 3 stars. Food was hot and well cooked and The staff were friendly.I might now go back one busy evening to try again!!BUSY FRIDAY NIGHT - We ordered two meals scampi and cod. We’re told 30/40min wait so 55 mins later they turn up. The cod was terrible overcooked burnt batter and dry fish but at the same time extremely greasy. Manager came out to apologise asking what she could do. Surely she should have said I’m so sorry it was not good can I give you a voucher for a meal. To tempt me back to try them again but no nothing. I won’t be going their again. Such a shame as a local pub.

We booked for 2.30 waited an hour and half the veg was under cooked still rock hard Yorkshires roasts and stuffing were black and cremated absolutely disgusting couldnt even chew the veg, gravy was like water was granual gravy. To wait this long would expect a freshly cooked lunch and it was a mothers day gift absolutely terrible will never step foot on that pub again. Didnt have the table set properly had to ask for everything there were people walking out without even having thier food worst place I ever been to. Wont going again ever

We booked for 2.30 and waited a hr and a half the food wasn't cooked the veg was raw and also the roasts you needed a saw to cut them and the stuffing balls were like bombs waiting to go off over cooked the food was terrible I felt sorry for the staff Marsdens how you keep your pubs open I haven't got a clue I try this pub before Marsden it was ok I would rather walk down the beach and eat sand than eat in there again

Excellent service well looked after and food delicious and filling although still managed to eat a dessert in the end as well definitely worth the trip from Cardiff

We popped in unplanned, my partner myself and our 2 very young children were made very welcome. Also serve the best chips ever here! 😄

Beautiful interior and a nice outdoor seating area, has darts and pool and excellent food, brilliant service, beers and ales come from nice clean pipes with an excellent selection of spirits and decent wine choices, couldn’t ask for more, a classic local pub.

Fab social distance hand sanitizers everywhere, excellent table service had a lunch time meal food served piping hot well done staff keep up the good work much appreciated x
