Walked across town as it is supposed to be open according to information supplied - and it isn't...

Really lovely lunch, started with a fantastic bread, then delicious Lamb Scrumpet, finishing with a beautiful Cod Loin. It was our first visit, but will be going back again and again.

Lovely place to chill out very nice staff

Not a bad place to go for a drink; friendly staff, clean, show sports on TV and standard drinks selection (common beers, lagers, ciders etc.) and well priced - pretty run of the mill.

Great 'old fashioned' friendly pub.

Friendly atmosphere while watching the rugby, backroom kitted out with big screen. Food at half time was dodgy but it was free so can't complain too much. It was a chip butty by the way.

If you're looking for a good honest old fashioned traditional pub - look no further.Fabulous atmosphere always welcoming. The interior was very dated (1970s, never bothered me) but slowly they're making improvements. Just a great pub.

Walked in, I said Im just going to the toilet then Ill be buying a drink, bar woman replied with 'toilets are for customers only' so I repeated the 'Ill be buying a drink after ive used the toilet'. Came out of the toilets and was refused service, the 1st thing said to me was 'Im not going to serve you', I asked why and the reply was 'you seem on edge', the woman behind the bar is a bad judge of character. If Five Bells dont want customers theyre going the right way about it, refusing genuine nice happy people, I was going to have a pint, and would have most likely visited again but not going to now, I would have enjoyed the drink sat quietly and then left when finished, if the place gets new staff Then I Might visit the place but thats a big Might. I had to rate 1 star coz it doesnt give option for no stars. Its obviously a place that take on ill mannered people to work there. Ill be letting people know how you get treated by the staff. ZERO STAR RATING

Beer has improved a hell of a lot over the last few years. It still looks like it did in the 80s in the bar but the lounge probably has had an upgrade. Pool table and dart board to entertain.
