Me and My Family were asked to do the decorations for prom and while I was decorating the cloth the Manger of the the hotel came in. Then he came up to me and said “I'm disgusted. Why are you putting holes in the cloth. The thing I'm most disappointed is that he didn’t even check if there is any holes in the cloth, he only just assumed that had wholes. It's utterly ridiculous! I never expected to encounter something like this. Me and my family are so disappointed with how we were treated. Never in my life have I ever experienced this kind of attitude from any other venue that we decorated before. Honestly, I don’t recommend people to come here if you do decorations because they won't let you do your job. By the way, we are not paid to do the decorations. We were only there to help out.

We had a fabulous time at the ladies Ascot day at Brynmeadows golf club. We attended with the South Wales Ladies club.Staff were great, food was excellent, DJ was great and got everyone up dancing. The rotations did a fab job with the racing. An excellent day and how lucky were we with the weather. The venue is superb.

We had afternoon tea with adults and children. They, wisely, put us in a private room as the children were a little overexcited. The staff were lovely and the food was good. Not the best afternoon tea we have experienced but very good. Not cheap either but there were a lot of different sandwiches and cakes so value for money. The building is beautiful and the scenery, breathtaking. They were very accommodating and attentive even though they were very busy with several large parties there.Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Just had a lovely stay here with my mum. I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and helpfulness during our stay. My mother has mobility problems but is very stoical and likes to do her best to get round without help. Their response to our requests was so helpful and friendly and allowed us to have a lovely stay and make the most of our time. Rooms food and service was lovely and we made the most of the spa facilities.

Lovely reception and bar staff. Great view from room. Room had mould on ceiling in bathroom and in tile cement. Breakfast was disappointing even down to asking for poached eggs and getting hard boiled. Wouldn't bother again.

Well, what on earth has happened to this place for food??... Absolutely awful experience on Saturday 14th May 2022. Have always celebrated our wedding anniversary by a splendid meal in beautiful surroundings at Bryn Meadows. Granted there's been a two year lapse because of Covid, making this year's 20th anniversary night out that much more 'looked forward to'. Left the booking a bit late really so was a little surprised to find that on a Saturday evening I was able to easily reserve a table. We were greeted well when we arrived and all aspects of the waitress service and floor management (which was later involved) were outstanding and our issues were dealt with very well. Bethan the waitress was absolutely wonderful and a credit to the place... but the food, not so !!!.. We ordered for starters, the king prawns in garlic sauce. Took some time to arrive considering the place was quite empty (and on a Saturday evening!!) Six king prawns with a little juice where I found no taste of garlic, but having never tried them before, accepted that. Two main courses of sirloin steak and chips. Again, took quite some time to arrive. First disappointment was the visual.. clearly the chips were frozen chips and not as we'd had before. Digging into the food, the chips were barely warm so I dug into the steak... cooked exactly to my liking but again... hardly any detection of warmth, but the taste was fine. The wife's meal was exactly the same showing hardly any signs of warmth yet alone being hot. The pepper sauce we ordered was perfect and hot. After a few mouthfuls of a main course that we were looking at paying nearly £30 each for, I just found this unacceptable and, for only the second time in my 55yrs I felt it necessary to return the meals with a complaint that the food was not even warm, yet alone hot. The waitress was great and called the manager who was equally polite and apologetic and swiftly returned the meals to the kitchen where new, fresh food was prepared. Some time later the replacement meals arrived and were clearly freshly prepared and hot. However, all was not perfect. The new steaks had a large strain of gristle right the way through them and both wife and I left a large portion on the plate as inedible material, though the part we ate, the taste was good. The chips were again, frozen chips and were hot but hard on the inside suggesting insufficiently cooked. Most of the chips were left. Two starters, two main courses, one dessert and three drinks and we were presented with a bill for a little over £100! How disappointing the food was, to the point of being rather horrified at the prices that we were charged for frozen chips. First presentation of food was not hot and the second was hot but hard chips and a thick line of gristle.. and a £100 bill. Not sure what has happened to this place but the food in my opinion is no longer of the excellent standard that we have experienced for so many previous years.

For great food and a lovely afternoon tea this is the place. One of the best teas I've had...and I've been to many! Bonus that it's on my doorstep.I've also experienced the Spa previously which is worth a visit. Very relaxing atmosphere and a lovely pool area to.They also do weddings, my sister got married here a few years ago. Great backdrop for photos.

What a fantastic place for a wedding. I was lucky to have been invited to a wedding on Saturday. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very efficient. Wow what fabulous views. From the rooms. A perfect setting for a wedding venue.

We had a wonderful massage, beautiful room and nice dinner. It was a great getaway, very romantic and relaxing. Although my husband's salmon was very dry and virtually inedible. But I would highly recommend this place and definitely go again.

Stayed overnight here for Valentines day, not my first stay and I was slightly disappointed to see that certain areas of the hotel were not being maintained to previous high standards. The dining room carpet needed a really good clean, out of 3 of ladies toilets 1 had no toilet paper and didn't flush and 1 was full of toilet paper and had quite a sizeable leak. The outside smoking area was scruffy with no working lights or heater. The room itself was a nice size and first impressions were excellent but when using the bathroom facilities, toilet flush was half broken, the shower leaked all over the floor after being turned off and basin tap was loose. But enough of the negative! What Bryn Meadows gets right, they get really right! Staff are absolutely fantastic! Friendly, helpful, cheerful and level of service is exceptional. A real credit ❤️And the food! Everything we had has cooked perfectly and beautifully presented.Overall, the things that were wrong wouldn't stop me from returning but I would love to see it restored to the standard it used to be.
