Caerphilly Mountain Snack Bar in Caerphilly

Stopped by on a lunch break had the steak roll with mushrooms and onions. Splash of garlic mayo . Was fabulous. Loved it. Lady at the till was happy in her work and very efficiently serving a long que which went down quick. Quality and quantity of food was outstanding.

Lovely location and nice clean premises but very busy. It was our first time there and the food was delicious but there was quite a long queue. We probably won't call again on a sunny afternoon but wait for a cloudier one, when hopefully it won't be as busy.

WOW, this place is amazing. Awesome food , big selection and great deals. My only issue is the queue is long sometimes but that's to be expected .

Park your car for free in the mountain snack bar carpark. They have an outside seating area and toilets around the back. Staff are always helpful, hardworking &friendly and the food is gorgeous (i love their cheese burgers and fries!) Yum yum! Plus i think its lovely when i see theres always bowls of water put out for local dog walkers

Best bacon bap I've had in ages. Great that they now have picnic tables around the back for you to enjoy your food with an amazing green view 👍

Great value, generous portions, lots of choice (for meat-lovers, maybe not for veggies or vegans). Nice to sit out on the picnic tables on the verandah and admire the view in the sunshine.

You can't go up Caerphilly mountain and not stop at the snack bar!Serving typical "greasy spoon" food like burgers and rolls, the food is actually very tasty and had very good quality ingredients.It can get extremely busy on the weekends, so go early or you will wait in line for a while!

The best takeaway in wales.i have never tasted a better burger ever than at this place and I'm 59 and had a lot of burgers in my time.i tried quite a few items on the menu the lamb the gammon the steak rolls.all of them tasted great cant recommend the mountain snack highly enough.

Food was good. The Mountain burgers were epic. The lamb baguette was great marinated in mint.Order inside and collect out side, so have something warm.Easy access to local mountain walks
