Churchill's Fish Bar in Caerphilly

Orders a LARGE chips cheese and gravey at 9 o'clock but was told they ain't bothered putting gravey on as they are shutting soon, when they shut at 10? Also was suppose to be a large chips with cheese, has a little sprinkle of cheese, large chips Was in a large tray but was enough chips to fill a cone, if that, and as no gravey had to have Curry instead, Good job the chips tastes nice and so did the curry.

We want to this shop as we were staying close by on vacation, service was great and the fish and chips was of very good quality.

Best Fish and Chip Shop in this part of the country at the moment. Loved my Cod and Chips and a plus point you can still get cans of Dandelion & Burdock there. The Madras curry sauce is also to be recommended for those who want a fair bit of spice! During they day there is also a sit in table service.

Open again after Covid, I'm back in there every Saturday. The food here is great and the staff are always very friendly and chatty. Currently only two people in at a time and the sit down area is closed. But you can just turn up and order what you want, you don't have to call in advance like most other take aways. Great to be eating from here again!

Smallest portion of chips I've ever recieved. Paid £2.80 for a large chips but it was a small tray that I bought home and barely fed 2 people. Nice chips but £2.80 for what they call a large portion is not large at all!

Great fish n chips, very well set up for COVID-19 with appropriate social distancing, and all servers wearing face shields. The venue itself looked very clean. Would definitely go back again.

Staff very friendly but I have to say it isn’t the best fish and chips I’ve had. Chips were soggy and greasy and tasted of the oil. Batter oily but chewy on the fish. Most fish shops cook to order but the fish were pre-done here. Madras curry sauce was nice.

Recently treated the whole family to a fish and chip supper which also included curry sauce, pies and sausage in batter. Highly recommended. Great service received from the owner.
