Darran in Caerphilly

Had a lovely family meal on my graduation day here. The food is perfect pub grub, and the staff are stellar. A definite must go if you're looking for a cozy meal and drink with friends/family

Lovely staff. Pretty decently priced too. Nice selection of drinks and atmosphere/decor is lovely. Close by and nice to pop into!

Visited here on a trip to Cardiff, food was lovely and portion size was good. I enjoyed a couple of pints of Brains beer as well. The staff were very welcoming and everyones food came out hot.

Always such a warm welcome, happy pleasant staff and brilliant atmosphere. The food is always outstanding, would definitely recommend the Darren to anyone as a great place for food. whether it be a spot of lunch, or a good get together with friends for an evening meal.

Held a 50th birthday meal, had the whole of upstairs, 28 including 4 children, the food was brilliant all different meals and all came out hot. Brill service with a smile. Very accommodating. Even added on last minute.xx

We held a Surprise Baby Shower and the staff couldn't do enough for us everything went perfect 😅 We all had different food and really enjoyed it came out hot was well pleased good value for the money. Our first visit to the Darran today. We took our family dog, so nice to be able to go to dog friendly places, she sat quietly under the table, all the time we were there. It was perfect, warmly greeted by staff, plenty of choice on the menu, our order arrived quickly and tasted delicious. Thought the prices were really good for what we had. Will definitely be visiting a lot, as recently moved to area.

Fantastic pub within risca, love that it’s dog friendly and the staff always make a point of bringing water and treats over to the table for him, it makes it a lot easier for us as we don’t like to leave him at home, food is always to a high standard and we visit regular, yet to have an issue, I know during the pandemic some items have not been available to order but you’ve got to remember every establishment is having hard times getting orders in at the moment and this is no fault of their own. It has a very cosy and friendly atmosphere to the place as well, staff are always polite and friendly, couldn’t ask for better service, highly recommend.
