Halfway House in Caerphilly

Wanted somewhere local to eat but fancied something really tasty to eat. The halfway was perfect! Warm, welcoming, cosy pub. The girls who served us were lovely. Sky took our order and gave amazing table service, nothing was too much trouble for her. I had chicken and garlic mushrooms, wow, it all looked homemade and tasted like my mams cooking. My partner had a sirloin and it was melt in your mouth! We will definitely make this a regular place to eat!

Great service, great food. Went for a Sunday roast, one of the best I've had out in a pub for a long time.

Very clean. Quite place. Very good to go walking from. Lovely menu in the bar. Had lasagne very nice. Shame they don't do breakfast ( or didn't when I was there)

Went for a meal last night, what a meal, the chef understood what a rare steak was and the mix grill was second to none. The hastess was so attentive and with a good sense of humour and the meal....... Awesome. There was no rush the ale was spot on and the laughter flowed. I would recommend this wonderful establishment to anyone and can't wait to return for another lovely meal.

What an amazing place! Took a walk over today for a few drinks and a meal, we took puppy with us and was welcomed with no problem at all, we choose to sit inside out of the way of large groups to make sure our doggo didn’t get to excited and others could eat in peace! We ordered a mixed grill each, food was cooked amazingly! Best chips I’ve ever had. Pupper loved the chicken! And the staff were absolutely lovely! We will 100% be back for either food or drinks or both! Such a lovely atmosphere. And again the staff were absolutely amazing and lovely! Couldn’t have asked for a better service all round!

Stayed over Saturday 19/3/22 one night. Very cosy pub, rooms basic but modern and very clean and spacious.Tea/coffee.facilities. Sky TV. We had a meal there and it was excellent and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back on our visit to Caephilly.

Went for Sunday lunch, never had a problem before but, the landlord was extremely rude, as we said the food was awful. I wouldn’t have fed it to my dog. So we wo t be going back. Absolute rot trough

We fancied to go to one of the local pubs for lunch and this place definitely didn't disappoint! Lovely food and massive portions, homemade chunky chips and the staff is very friendly!. Would recommend

Absolutely brilliant!!! The staff are top of the range and the sunday roast take away was amazing. We will be eating in next time as we enjoyed the ambiance of the lounge bar so much. Excellent .

Friendly helpful bar staff, cosy village pub feel, great pub food and a lovely Welsh whisky. We stayed over for a couple of nights, the room was spacious, clean and equiped for a short stay, we will definitely be staying there again when we are next in the area.
