Newbridge fish bar in Caerphilly

Just ordered a kebab and chips never again from here the meat was consistency of cardboard, all seven pieces.The tray was half filled with lettuce not much else.With about 15 chips absolute ripoff and tasteless.Avoid like the plague.

First time i had visited as i am from portsmouth and was visiting in the area. Omg the chips were lush and the small portion was huge compared to what we get in portsmouth. The curry sauce was also to die for.

Used to be one of my favourite chip shops -£9.45 for cod, chips and curry sauce....was a real disappointment. Fish not fresh, most of the chips were hard and the mild curry just isn't the same. Won't be back!

Check your order before leaving! Ordered 2 bags of chips and a curry sauce, not a difficult order. When opened the bag only one bag of chips very small and a very watery curry sauce. £5.85 for a few chips! Unfortunately too far away to drive back down.

Cold, inedible chips, crushed pie. In a nice container that should stop cold, crushed food!

I asked for fish and chips I was a bit gobbed smacked when they said 7.50 she then said or do u want it wrapped separately I said what's the difference she said 9.00 pounds I said no put it together after 20 mins I left with my foodI got home which was 3 minutes later and my father mother and myself sat to eat only we couldntFish was greecy and the chips was luke warm and like cardboard I will not come back here and do not recomend my parents couldnt even get through the chips and I found it hard with my own teeth never again

Have always thoroughly enjoyed fish and chips from here and recommended them many times but was very disappointed last night. Both fish and chips tasted as if they had been left to warm for a while.

Lovely hake & chips for me today husband had large chicken kebabwe both enjoyed our meals. We recommend this eatery :D 10/10

Was amazing now barely edibleFish wasn't fresh and crispy in fact was more like something frozen from Iceland chips where warm at best all squashed together and curry well.... one was like water the other was like thick porridge 😳Would be returning

Ordered a chicken dinner loaded chips with sweet chili sauce on a pickup order. I was there 15 mins after ordering I got told 10 mins. Walked in and they said it would be 2 seconds. 10 minutes later and they’re prepping the food in front of me. Open my food when I get home to find half a portion. Meant to be a full tray (large) and it’s half empty. The “sweet chilli” sauce is the hottest sauce I’ve very tasted and the chips swimming in it. There is NO chicken donner in my chips. Also no cheese sauce or cheese. Simply just chips with super hot sauce. Not a good experience will not be coming back. Conti is much better on time always and perfect portion sizes.
